Need some advice on how to treat a gallbladder attack.

I am in the midst of an extremely bad gallbladder attack. I've been dealing with my gallbladder for sometime now. I had a PIPIDA done a year ago and my gallbladder EF is 13%. I know I need to have it taken out, but I cannot afford to do it. I have really crappy insurance with a high deductible and I just can't take the time off from work. Usually, I get the RUQ ache that wraps around my back. It hurts, but I deal with it, like I deal with menstrual cramps. This time, it is awful. It work me up at 5 a.m. this morning from a deep sleep and the pain was so bad that I was in tears. I actually considered the ER, but again high deductible, crappy insurance, etc.
I took a Norco which eased it to a tolerable level, but I fear that tonight the pain will increase again and I will not sleep. I thought about taking Motrin or Aleve, but then I'm afraid that will hurt my stomach as it sometimes does and then I won't be able to tell which pain is my gallbladder and which is stomach irritation.
So any home remedies anyone has that have worked, I would be glad to hear them! Thanks!

[ In Reply To ..]Bowel rest. Then the BRAT diet. You reall need to watch the fats. Smoothies made with kefir or yoghurt. Seriously watch what you eat and cut the fats to an absolute minimum. And by no means is this meant as medical advice but it has worked for me.

I would worry that it might be infected causing the pain and I do know you can get gangrene if you don't have something done about it.
I also would say watch your fat intake as well.
I had mine out and have had to have one ERCP. Luckily no pancreatitis and hope I never have it, but I am feeling like I did before the ERCP and I think I need another one.
I sure hope you can get this under control. Perhaps all you need is to have some antibiotic for a short while. Does your doctor know why you don't want to have it done. However, I will say that you are not off long with a laparoscopic gallbladder as I had back in 1997.
