Gallbladder removal

Has anyone had their gallbladder removed and had nausea afterwords and if so, how long did it last.

I had mine removed 27 years ago today (open). No nausea, but a heck of a lot of pain.

Oh no! That would be worse than being nauseated you poor thing. They only good thing that's come out of it is I've lost some weight.

yes, I had my gallbladder removed a couple of years ago, laparoscopically, and had nausea for about 6 to 10 weeks after that. ended up going back in for an upper endoscopy and prescribed PPI and Carafate for a few weeks which seemed to do the trick. I have chronic GERD so don't know if that was contributing anything to situation or not.

My husband had his gallbladder removed exactly a year ago and he would have waves of nausea that would intermittently come and go. If I remember correctly, I think it lasted for about a month or so after the surgery. However, I have heard of other people having it last significantly longer than that. It varies from person to person. My husband then went and saw a naturopathic doctor, who recommended that he start taking probiotics, which seemed to help him a great deal.

I had my gallbladder removed a week ago because of gallstones. Now I have nausea daily almost all day long. My doc gave me antinausea medication to help with this, but it makes me very sleepy, which in turn makes working difficult. Does anyone else have this problem or know someone who does? Hi Fellow MTs: I was wondering if anyone that has had their GB out has had any pain with the trocar sites that bothered them. I am 1 month out from GB surgery and it seems as though I have more pain in one of these sites than the others. I am in the midst of an extremely bad gallbladder attack. I've been dealing with my gallbladder for sometime now. I had a PIPIDA done a year ago and my gallbladder EF is 13%. I believe it's called the No No??? It is a hair removal system that supposedly you can use for legs, underarms, and EVERYTHING. Was wondering if anyone had used it and if it works and how long you are hair-free.
