trick or treat in the rain

Posted: Oct 28, 2009

I have been fortunate that every Halloween has been dry as a bone, but this year it is almost certain we will get some rain!  I am looking for some tips from people who have been trick or treating in the rain.  I have a 3yo, 4yo, and 5yo if that helps.  I figured I would just do the umbrella thing and maybe go to the local mall, but my 5yo daughter wants to go to houses so bad.... she actually told me "but mom, houses are our bread and butter."  That was kind of funny. Thanks in advance guys!

Rain, Rain Go Away. 6 Days Off And On Now And I'm Sick Of It.May 20, 2011
They said it would be over this morning. It has rained heavily 2 or 3 times today.  Most of the week, we've only had an hour or two between the rain. The sun finally came out and now it's thundering like crazy and the wind is picking up. What an awful week.  ...

Rain In NortheastSep 07, 2011
Another day of rain today for so many of us in the eastern part of the country.   My stepfather called and told me it is the worst he has seen in his neighborhood.   Part of the yard is fenced off for Tiny, and thankfully it has not gone to that area yet, but I could tell he was concerned.  He told me not to "go out" today.  I think he meant not to come up to the house, as he said it is now pooling in the back yard and between the homes in his development ...

Ground Beef TrickJan 26, 2012
If anyone has purchased ground beef lately, you know the price is skyrocketing and 1 lb of ground beef doesn't go very far to feed a family of 4.   I buy it fairly lean (so they claim on the package but still a lot of grease).   If I'm making a meatloaf, I would normally toss a bit of rolled oats in to fill and make the ground beef go a little further.   However, tonight was taco night and as I was preparing the beef, an idea hit me.  Can't really disguise oat ...

What's Your Trick For Saving Money Now?Dec 21, 2009
Just wondering what each person is doing now to save money? I personally am still spending every penny I earn at the moment trying to pay bills - but, I have more to pay because I am clipping coupons and using them when things are on sale at a really cheap deal...  We have also started recycling plastic, paper, and cardboard as we pay by the pound to dispose of our garbage and recycleables are free if you separate them out yourself. Any more ideas? ...

Hannity repeating false stories of Obama deleting endorsements of Hilliary from his facebook account.  Many of these type sites out there.    Another recent one was the fraudulent ballots for Clinton in ohio that turned out to be a pic of some guy in England.  That one ran on the  Christian Times Newspaper site.   see link ...

How To Treat A ColdFeb 12, 2017
I have tried this and it works: 1.  Place a hat at the end of your bed.  It can be any kind of hat. 2.  Get into bed and pull up the covers. 3.  Drink whiskey until you see two hats. If it doesn't work, it won't matter.   ...

How Does Mexico Treat THEIR Illegals.....Apr 29, 2010
Actually, when doing research, one finds the mistreatment of illegals in Mexico to be FAR worse than stated here.... many are beat literally to death or shot at point blank range to die where they fall and left to rot. http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=49620 ...

Need Some Advice On How To Treat A Gallbladder Attack.Oct 29, 2014
I am in the midst of an extremely bad gallbladder attack.  I've been dealing with my gallbladder for sometime now.  I had a PIPIDA done a year ago and my gallbladder EF is 13%.  I know I need to have it taken out, but I cannot afford to do it.  I have really crappy insurance with a high deductible and I just can't take the time off from work.  Usually, I get the RUQ ache that wraps around my back.  It hurts, but I deal with it, like I deal with menstrual c ...
