Good morning all! I am a 42 year old woman, mother of 4. About 4 months ago, I stopped having my period completely. I've did a pregnancy test and it was negative. Funny story there - oldest son is 20, youngest son is 4!! I have NO symptoms whatsoever of menopause like friends that I have talked to have - no moodiiness, hot flashes, etc. Anyone else have this happen to them?

setting in. Dryness during sex, not as "elastic" as before so sex can be painful, face hair. These are just some of my favorites.

No symptoms of menopause, periods just stopped 6 months ago. Had my tubes tied 20 years ago, no condoms for me. I'm at that age (50) but am having no hot flashes, no mood swings, nothing at all. So far, so good!

I am 39 and stopped having periods about 6 months ago. I was really worried about pregnancy and have taken more than a couple tests, all negative and definately not signs of pregnancy. My kids are now 20 and almost 18. I did however start having hot flashes around the same time the periods stopped. Now am noticing what I an only describe as more than normal hair growth in the strangest of places. I have found that my issues with PTSD/anxiety have become much worse as well.

Well, I am 55 and still get regular periods like clockwork and also am still having ovulation if you can believe that. I now once in a while get a hot flash but not very often which will wake me up at night. I do get more symptoms of depression though but that could be from being this time of year. Maybe the "fun" will spontaneously stop for me as well. I can only hope.

When I was 43 I started going through menopause (I am now 52). My periods were regular and never missed one, but I was on birth control as well. I experienced waking up in the middle of the night with severe hot sweats and at first I thought I had caught a bug, as it made me feel sick to my stomach. At the same time my periods stopped completely even being on birth control. I never took a pregnancy test, as I felt confident with the pill. My yearly exam was due 2 months after stopping my periods and experiencing night sweats. When I went to my doc I told her what I was going through and asked for a blood test to determine if I was going through menopause, in which she ordered the test. It came back starting I was going through menopause so no longer needed to take the pill and was started on HRT, in which after about a year I took myself off due to all the bad info I heard about them. A few years after that I had to have a partial hysterectomy due to ovarian cysts. My menopausal symptoms got worse after the partial hystectomy and I take herbal remedies to combat the hot flashes and all other symptoms. They do not take care of the hot flashes altogether, but seem to diminish them somewhat. I am also taking One-A-Day menopausal formula. The last few years I have noticed chin hair - LOL - in which I drive myself nuts with my tweezers tying to pluck them even though they are not that visible to the naked eye. Out of all the symptoms of menopause my worst are lack of libido and hot flashes. I wonder how much longer they will last seeing as though it has been almost 10 years.

These women had no say in where they were or who they were with, did they? I think I read that the youngest wife was 'gifted' to him. I hope they are treated well. I also hope they give out some good information, if they know anything. Also, what appeared to be his will admonished his wives not to remarry. So he wants to control them even in death.
