I do however voluntarily knit Chemo and newborn hats to a local group that distributes them. I regularly donate to food pantries/drives. When our neighbor is deployed my husband cuts his grass...without being asked to, so that his wife has one less thing to worry about. It's about leading a life you can be proud of.

Resenting that $1 "tax" is the epitome of selfishness, but thanks for the input.
