How tall is that wall supposed to be? Just saw

Posted: Apr 1, 2016

There were 2 young guys who scanned a 20 foot wall crossing from Mexico into the US with their bare hands. They were looking around to see if they were seen and they spotted a camera. They went back into Mexico and it took them a total of 12 seconds to reclimb the 20 foot wall. How tall was that wall that Mexico was supposed to pay for? ;

The wall will obviously need surveillance - unlike - what Obama offers

[ In Reply To ..]
Mexico will pay for the wall indirectly. Trump did not become a billionaire because he is stupid

Here is the plan:

Mexico must pay for the wall and, until they do, the United States will, among other things: impound all remittance payments derived from illegal wages; increase fees on all temporary visas issued to Mexican CEOs and diplomats (and if necessary cancel them); increase fees on all border crossing cards of which we issue about 1 million to Mexican nationals each year (a major source of visa overstays); increase fees on all NAFTA worker visas from Mexico (another major source of overstays); and increase fees at ports of entry to the United States from Mexico [Tariffs and foreign aid cuts are also options]. We will not be taken advantage of anymore.

Well, you must be kin to DT because you did not answer - my question and my question was

How tall is that wall supposed to be?

Better get ready for the democratic sweep BTW.

It is not how tall the wall is but rather - the surveillance of the wall that is important

[ In Reply To ..]
And part of your Trump slam was the wall Mexico is "supposed to pay for." They will pay for it.

Roll ever and accept status quo dear. Things are not going to get better but worse with the crooks in DC who accept bribes for their votes and have no regard for you or me.
And you think Trump has regard for you or me - either one? Yep, I sure
[ In Reply To ..]
see that (don't) and I never cared for thugs but apparently some in this world do.
I think Trump aims to succeed and keep promises - He also does not need bribes
[ In Reply To ..]
So because Trump is a business success and DOES NOT NEED MONEY from special interests and his EGO is such he wants success and to keep his word I am pretty sure we are going to be better off than if we maintain status quo.

Status quo means more jobs will be shipped offshore, the economy gets progressively worse, we are subject to terrorist attacks and our country will be loaded with illegals who will work much cheaper than tax-paying Americans can afford to work for.

Sounds like a plan for Cruz, Clinton and/or Kasich or any establishment corrupt politician. Business as usual in DC.
Trump success? Failed airline, failed college, - failed wine company, so
[ In Reply To ..]
many and he himself outsources. You got one thing right and that is the ego part. What people are talking about, attacks by terrorists, most of the attacks on US land have been by US citizens. I thought when he started running he must be kidding saying the things he says and condoning the things around him but no and now the republicans are scurrying to do anything they can to put a stop to him. They know he is not a politician but also know he really does knows nothing about running a country, much less some of his "businesses."
You're wrong. Try again. The winery's doing fine. - The college hasn't failed.

I bet the wine is a lot better than the koolade you're guzzling.

The "wall" would not be expected to achieve border security - on its own, as Trump has said repeatedly.

[ In Reply To ..]
One of the basic principles of security (excuse me, but this is in my wheelhouse) is something called "layered security", which means recognizing that every protective measure has weaknesses, and deploying other measures that compensate for them.

So, for instance, the wall would be supplemented by a system of sensors, by various forms of surveillance, by using more of the available technology to detect tunnels, by an increase in the presence of border patrols, etc.

It's pretty obvious Trump Haters do not like facts - and support crooked politicians

[ In Reply To ..]
Facts hurt their lying eyes. LOL.

Not hater but I sure want someone who is - knowledgeable about our world

[ In Reply To ..]
and not a guy who cannot even talk on a subject, constantly changing so he can throw people off a subject. I know I see and hear that.
Who is "knowledgeable" about our world? - Really? Who took a crash course on ever changing
[ In Reply To ..]
I really want to know. A governor of a state? A member of the senate? A physician? The wife of an ex-president being investigated by FBI?
Certainly not anyone who thinks Trump - knows anything. nm

So the majority who are Trump supporters are - STUPID?
[ In Reply To ..]
I know some very successful people who support Trump and I think that anyone which makes blanket statements about Trump supporters is incredibly ignorant.
How would anyone who supports Trump have - the smarts to know their own stupidity?
[ In Reply To ..]
They think they're supporting some kind of a "hero" because they just don't know any better. It's pretty darned sad.
We must all be ignorant then. - Blanket statements here from both sides
[ In Reply To ..]
Pots calling the kettles black and no one really listening, just hearing what they want to hear. Die-hard supporters of any one of the candidates are guilty of this, Repubs, Dems, and everyone in between. No one even seems interested in the truth, they're just having fun bashing one another. So much easier than actually listening with an open mind to what each candidate has to say, then doing your own fact checking and coming to your own conclusion. Bernie's a commie, Trump's a wacko, Hillary's a traitor, blah blah blah. These are all blanket statements. All of the candidates have earned the respect of someone, somewhere, large groups even, and there are reasons behind it. Don't they all deserve consideration from all angles? Obviously I am an independent, though, so I don't get the black-and-white, cut-and-dried mindset of either party.
You got that right, the ones you listed are far more - knowledgeable about the world than

the buffoon, did not take you long to figure that one out, did it?
Yep - Trump really showed his knowledge of the world whe

He knows all about that "city." He's been there many, many times. The people there just love him. He could stand in the middle of the "city" and shoot someone and they would still love him. He knows more about the city than anyone else because he's the smartest.
WHEN did Trump call Belgium a city? - He was talking about the city of Brussels
[ In Reply To ..]
Do you have a link or do you just THINK you heard Trump call Belgium a city?

Googled and can't find anything on Trump calling Begium a city. Perhaps you can put your Google link in a post.
here ya go - City of Belgium

Excerpt from The Today Show with Matt Lauer. Title of linked article is --

TRUMP: ‘CITY’ OF BELGIUM NEEDS TO GET ITS ACT TOGETHER

(I only included the pertinent parts of Trump's ramblings. You can read the entire article and listen to Trump's words yourself by following the link at the end.) Article begins:

Rather than let the media talk about something other than making America great again for a minute, Donald Trump called in to the Today Show. Matt Lauer asks the GOP frontrunner what he would do about the attacks if he were President.

... ramble, ramble, ramble.....

Lauer presses Trump to actually answer the question, prompting The Donald to toss a word salad about Syrian refugees not assimilating to the apparent Hellscape that is modern-day Brussels. After once again demonstrating his foreign policy is little more than xenophobic platitudes crafted to sway only the most ill-informed voters, the interview progresses to waterboarding...}... more rambling...

“Belgium is no longer Belgium. Belgium is not the Belgium that you and I knew, Matt, from 20 years ago, which was one of the most beautiful cities and one of the safest cities in the world. Belgium is a horror show right now.

Belgium was such a safe “city” 20 years ago. Trump’s geographical knowledge seems to be on par with the Australian Sarah Palin, Stephanie Bannister, who doesn’t oppose the “country” of Islam.

Here is one of many links.

[ In Reply To ..]
I'm sure it was a slip of the tongue, but that to me is even scarier than if he actually thought Belgium was a city. I am not a Trump supporter, but I'm also not a Trump hater. I think he is a very intelligent and knowledgeable man, I really do, but that does not make him presidential material. His biggest flaw, and it's a real biggie, is that he cannot seem to focus. His thoughts and words just fly all over the place. A world leader needs to choose his words very carefully and think about what he's saying. Misspoken words can be disastrous on the world stage.

Not a Trump hater - but

[ In Reply To ..]
I do recognize distorted facts when I see them. My eyes are wide open and they don't hurt a bit. Do you honestly think The Donald isn't crooked? Are you kidding me? His ego is so huge, anyone could "buy" his favors simply by stroking that ego, telling him how wonderful and important he is. Trump just eats that stuff up, he feeds off of it like some kind of maniac. He could be bought in a heartbeat, just not in the typical politician fashion, but still bought. The corporate world is just as crooked as the political world, but again, that's a fact his supporters choose to ignore. Sorry, but the crooked politician line is just another tiresome phrase repeatedly used by the Trump bandwagon misinformed sheep.

Why not try this - anonie

[ In Reply To ..]
Why not try an electric fence, one that is full of watts, not some little bitty shock.

Build the wall and put this up on top or just use this separately.

A wall can easily be tunneled under. And a - package-carrying drone can easily -

fly over it, out of sight and rifle range, to carry drugs, firearms, etc. Trump's ideas about "security" are pretty low-tech.

Have told this before but my housekeeper who came - from Mexico, illegally

[ In Reply To ..]
flew here. For people to say building a wall, there are so, so many ways to come here without crossing the border but I guess when you "think" you have all the answers then you just say build a wall and Mexico will even pay even though they have told DT to "f...off."
A dictator no longer in charge in Mexico said F__ off - Let's see who has the F___ off

Then why aren't you one? Hmmmmm? - I could be wrong but...

any day over Trump. I think, just like Cruz said, he is the Kim Kartrashing of politics. Even his own people are trying to make sure he is not elected. As far as millionaire if I told you I would only be called a liar so will keep my information to myself. You would be tremendously surprised if you knew just what I am spending on my summer vacation and again I would be called a liar so will just keep mum.

DNC Erects 4 Mile 8 Foot Tall Fence Around PhillyJul 25, 2016
To the Democratic National Committee elites, keeping average Americans away from their convention is a good idea, while protecting the southern border from intruding terrorists, rapists and murderers is a bad one. The DNC has erected a four-mile fence around its convention site at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center. (Isn’t it ironic they’re doing so much to protect a site named after a bank?). The fence, which appears to be about 8 feet tall, is intended to keep out any individuals wi ...

Who Pays For The Wall? I Don't Give A Rip. It Will Be Jan 27, 2017
Almost any scheme that would impose a cost on Mexico for the wall is likely to have some cost to the American citizen as well.  If you impose a 20% tax on imports, Mexican goods (e.g. produce) would us cost more for sure, although not 20% more because Mexicans would be pricing themselves out of the market, so they'll adjust their prices to some extent downward. The fact is, though, that the cost of drugs, human trafficking and the illegal population in the US is approximately 5 times ...

where's the jobs program to build it? If Mexico pays for it, are they going to be in charge and hire the workers or does the U.S. get the employment boost? That is what comes next, right? After the "wall" we no longer have a Mexican labor force for Americans to exploit and then we pay ...
