I don't understand why they are so afraid of OWS - puzzled

[ In Reply To ..]
It is not like they are talking 2nd amendment remedies.

They should be VERY afraid. OWS has only just - begun, and is growing every day.

I predict that OWS will fall by the wayside in a month or so...just wait for the snow to hit.

There are three additional issues with OWS:
There is no long-term, defined goal.
There are too many protests/groups.
There are a bunch of people out there who are just protesting because ooh, hey there's a protest, let's join and make mayhem! I know this for sure...My cousin is part of the protest in NY. He has a band, and that is all he does. As such, though, he has an extensive network of people. So, he was able to gather up a group of almost 100 people to go protest. I asked him why/what are you protesting for and he says: #%$ if I know! It's a protest and I get to yell and break stuff. Besides, it's something to do until we have to go to our gig."

There's OWS for ya--it's not going to last.
No reason to be "scairt".. Because if you're an - MT, youre just an insignificant, -sm

and highly-expendable peon. A cog in the wheel. We oil the machine, and then are thrown out in exchange for the cheaper oil of India.

Every protest has it's "rent-a-protesters", like your cousin. Whatever. At least they're warm bodies to help us fill the streets. They're also helpful because they're often the first ones dumb enough to get arrested.

No point in explaining the reason why there is no one singular "goal". Or why it actually is part of the reason the movement is so strong.

Today my bank (which I hate anyway) was targeted, and I'm not waiting around for it to fail and/or retaliate. My money came out as of yesterday morning.

The whole stock & banking system is a pyramid scheme, and it's been outed. Anyone who thinks they're not just a little worried right now, has their head in the sand.

A PAGE FROM THE SOCIALISTS PLAYBOOK
Deny, Deceive, Disrupt, Distract, Destroy...
"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually
come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military
consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."

And this applies to the Alphabet News too!!!!!!

Sounds more like something Boehner or - Romney once said......

News flash: - JS

[ In Reply To ..]
And this is the LAST time I'm going to post this. I'm tired of repeating myself.

"Last year, candidate Barack Obama stood on a sidewalk in Toledo, Ohio, and first let it slip to Joe the Plumber that he wanted to 'spread the wealth around.' At that time, I have to admit that I went on TV on Fox News and publicly engaged in what I guess was some rather mischievous speculation about whether Barack Obama really advocated socialism, a premise that privately I found rather far-fetched."
Fox Washington managing editor Bill Sammon

The whole Fox News SOCIALIST thing that all right-wing media ran with was and is spin, smear, and... a LIE. It's made up, and the above came straight from the horse's mouth. Don't get mad at me. Get mad at Fox and yourself for falling for it.

Let go of the whole socialist thing as well as the comparison to Nazis. It's really silly. And whether or not you want to believe Media Matters, my response above contained a quote from a member of the organization accused of paying people to protest. In the coming days as the story breaks further, you can probably find the same quote in other sources (just not right-wing/Fox News spew). They tend to lie through omission in cases like these.

BTW, if you insert "Fox" in your posted quote where it says " the State," it works beautifully.

Second person wanted to pay half of what I had them listeed for and pay for her gas to and from the concert.  WHAT???? Third person wanted the tickets.  I drove the 3 hours to Chic ...

Wall Street Wants A RefundFeb 10, 2010
Posted on Feb 10, 2010 By Robert Scheer “Buyer’s remorse” is the way Sen. John Cornyn, the Senate Republicans’ fundraiser, gleefully refers to Wall Street moguls’ current disenchantment with the U.S. president they thought they had bought. They didn’t like it when Barack Obama, after a year of throwing trillions of American taxpayer dollars into the bailout sinkhole, dared remark that he had hoped there might be some return for ordinary folks tryin ...

Syria: Oil Prices Vs Wall StreetAug 29, 2013
That September drop you were expecting for gasoline prices? Don't hold your breath. Currently, gasoline averages $3.55 a gallon nationally, down from $3.63 a month ago. Most analysts had expected a drop to about $3.40 by early fall on seasonal demand slumping following the summer driving season. Not now. Some forecasters predict a short-term spike of up to 10 cents a gallon. Crude oil prices and gas futures are soaring on growing fears that if the U.S. military strikes at Syria for its h ...

Wall Streetâs Payout For 2009: $145 BillionJan 15, 2010
By Daniel TencerThursday, January 14th, 2010 -- 10:29 pm Banks poised to start fearmongering campaign about Obama's bailout fee If you still needed statistical proof that the folks on Wall Street have become entirely detached from reality in the wake of the massive taxpayer-funded bailout of their colossal mistakes, here it is. The Most Important Wiileaks- How Wall Street Built The ObamaNov 18, 2016
Perhaps the most startling discovery of the WikiLeaks dumps so far didn't come from the most recent emails surrounding the various Hillary scandals, though there are many great ones, but from 2008 when John Podesta served as co-chair of President-elect Barack Obama’s transition team. The email came from Michael Froman, a former Citibank executive, who single-handedly built the entire cabinet of what was supposed to be the "main street" President. Just remember this when the MSM ...

Paul Krugman: "Wall Street's Bad Investment Decision."Nov 07, 2012
There are many lists now circulating of the biggest winners and losers from the election; oddly, however, none of the lists I’ve seen mentions just how bad this result is for Wall Street’s Masters of the Universe. The story, as you may recall, is that the financial industry — having brought both itself and the rest of the world to the edge of disaster — was bailed out by taxpayers. Yet far from being grateful, top financial types were furious at Obama for occasionally hi ...
