Prayers please, if anyone has time. I am trying to leave

It's going to be very ugly. He's quite controlling, everything's fine when it goes his way.
When it doesn't go his way, he gets angry, tells me to GTFO, but then when I make noises about leaving, then starts the alternate trying to make up or argue me into staying, and let's not forget blaming me for everything and how it's all MY fault. Never do we hear anything about his part in the mess.
Typical narcissistic abuse pattern that didn't start until we moved away from where I was from, everything familiar to me, and what family/friends I had there.
I guess that's the pattern of abusers; get you away from all stability, then control you, dominate you, and verbal abuse, along with destruction of property.
Prayers, please. I can use all the help I can get along with my own prayers.
I'm sure the good Lord didn't mean me to stay with someone this cruel and abusive.

[ In Reply To ..]Good luck to you and hope everything goes smoothly. I am not sure if you are a Dear Abby reader, but she has given this number multiple times and it may be of some benefit to you. It is the National Domestic Violence Hotline, 1-800-799-7233. They may have some resources to help you plan to get away safely. Better roads are definitely ahead for you. Just be absolute in not going back, ever. I have put a link below to a Dear Abby article from 2011 that gives the signs of an abuser, if you are interested. Good luck, and best wishes.

[ In Reply To ..]I wanted to let you know about a free app for your smart phone to give you some security during this time. It's called "Aspire" and was created by Robin McGraw (Dr. Phil's wife). This app looks like a news link on your phone so he won't know it is there if he checks your phone. The app lets you pre-set a message to send out to friends and/or 911. It is set up so all you have to do is hit the button and it sends these messages out. It also starts recording (without any red lights to alert him).

[ In Reply To ..]If someone had not posted this information, I was going to. Please, please be very careful. The first few weeks are the most dangerous for you when you leave, so you'll want to have a plan in place. I watch Dr. Phil every day and they talk about this app a lot, and it sounds like a great thing to have to help you on your way.

[ In Reply To ..]this also, about Dr. Phil and the Aspire App. His wife, Robin McGraw, is an advocate for domestic violence, and she has a site called When Georgia Smiled, which is all about domestic violence. I am sure there is some excellent advice on her site to help you through this most troubling time. I was in an abusive relationship with my first marriage, and I truly wish they had had this type of information available when I decided to get out. Go to Dr. Phil's website, as well, as I am sure he has much info on his site, as well. and yes, the first few weeks after you leave are the most dangerous for you. You need to have an exit plan and these two websites will help you with that, as well as give you emotional support. I wish you every bit of luck in the world!! Prayers!
An additional boost for me: I find one of the local hospitals - is hiring in house full time days SM
[ In Reply To ..]I am currently an IC MT and could make it on my own that way with a lot of hours, but this FT position would be a huge boost out of my situation and I could keep IC MT part time evenings. I would ask on interview if this position ever goes home, because I so hate being in house with "office situations" and the people.
