Protesters inside WI Capitol leave peacefully after judge

Posted: Mar 3, 2011

No whup up.  No showdown between them and police, just peaceful cooperation.  Walker ordered to reinstate normal access policies sans locked doors, bolted windows and ID checks by Monday.  Poor Scott.  He is having a really bad week.

Protestors left peacefully but said they'd be back the next morning (today) - Backwards Typist

Judge stated access to the general public should start next Monday. So, he still has a right to keep the capital locked down until then.

Yep. So that would mean that they intend to sustain - the protests either

[ In Reply To ..]
inside or outside the building, in compliance with the order. Walker has been in defiance of the order all along, so it remains to be seen whether or not this final ruling will be honored by him or not. In the meantime, what Saturday is going to look like is anybody's guess.

He never had the right. He completely ignored - the temporary restraining order. sm

The judge gave him time to undo his illegal lockdown of bolted windows and locked doors and allowed for cleanup. This in no way should be interpreted as a right to keep the capitol locked down. In fact, the judge very clearly established that Walker was in violation of the WI constitution.

Typical leftist wanting to agitate and make something out of nothing. Who could honestly believe that Walker wanted a whup up and a showdown between the police and the protesters? Give me a break.

Go back and listen to the his phone call - he said himself when talking to *Koch*

[ In Reply To ..]
You don't believe it even when you hear it? No hope, I guess.

Who exactly spent the last few days on this forum - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
bending over backwards to cast this as a violent protest, echoing right-wing media-driven spinmeisters and agendas? To the more level headed among us, that would tend to be viewed as agitating and making something out of nothing. Besides, the other poster was right. Fake Koch got Walker to say it right out loud, and it was caught on tape.

All this does is divert attention from the central - issue, which is exactly

[ In Reply To ..]
what it is intended to do. I would respect the union and the public workers in that union much more if they had claimed solidarity with all the workers in financially troubled Wisconsin and said they would forego collective bargaining and take the 8% cut for the good of ALL. Then NONE of this hoohah would be happening.

We have a word for that where I come from....SELFISH. Do they think that the rest of the workers in the state don't deserve a break? Do they not care a whit about their fellow man? The left likes to talk about caring for poor and downtrodden, but their actions RARELY result in ACTION.

Which is why those who used to be apathetic and not paying attention, who are no longer apathetic and paying close attention, don't believe a word they say anymore.

Left behind their $7 million in damages - mtmt

[ In Reply To ..]
But of course they will be back to inflict even more damage on that beautiful building and beat their whacko drums some more.

Those figures are completely unsubstantiated. Do you endorse - sm

spending 7 mil on spackle and touch-up paint? Think before you post. We are talking about scotch tape and thumbtack damage. Besides, I would be willing to bet that if Walker would offer the job to the union folks, they would step up and do it for free. 7 million. Really? Show me the bids (he hasnt had time to get), or is this another one of his no-bid schemes?

Well, if they hire union workers to repair it... - it could very WELL cost

[ In Reply To ..]
7 million to fix. Union workers charge a lot more to spackle and paint than regular workers. Ahem. LOL. They will probably want to negotiate a pay raise before they agree to fix it. It is a public building, right, and the maintenance crew are probably union, right....LOL.
We can never know this since that job is a Walker no-bid baby - wrapped up in total secrecy
[ In Reply To ..]
based on undisclosed numbers, now can we?

Now the report is up to 9 million... nice job.. nm - Please

[ In Reply To ..]
nm

Hey....it's job security. The maintenance people - for that PUBLIC building

[ In Reply To ..]
are probably union. If they are paid by the hour it will take months to spackle all those thumbtack holes and paint. LOL.

Yes, another no-bid contract for Walker's friends - Thanks for pointing that out--nm

Trump Is Baiting The Liberal MSM And Refugee Protesters ByJan 29, 2017
I don’t think it’s accidental. The limiting Visa program was President Obama’s action, not President Trump. President Trump is not suspending visas from countries his team selected, they are simply suspending visa approval from countries Pre ...

Scott Walker: I Can Defeat ISIS Because I Defeated 100,000 Union ProtestersFeb 26, 2015
A few weeks ago, ABC News’ Martha Raddatz asked likely GOP presidential contender Scott Walker how he’d deal with the threat posed by the Islamic State terrorist group, also known as ISIS or ISIL.
