Interesting checking on Syria and Iran building a naval station

All the pundits, news bloggers, etc. are making fun of Romney's comment on Iran and Syria.
I was curious, so looked up a map of the Syria and the relationship between Syria and Iran. It sits on the Mediterranean Sea. So, no problem with Iran building a naval station in Syria. It gives Iran 2 ways to get to the open ocean and since Iran and Syria are bestest buddies, it makes sense. It would also give Iran and Syria access to missles being able to hit our allies since Iran's missles would be able to go further and hit more targets.
So, they all should check resources before instead of making fun of Romney's remark but, of course, that's not the libs/democrat way. It's easier to take everything out of context and try to divide the people more than they have in the past 4 years. They're afraid of Romney because he's smart, knows economics, and can turn this country around.
