Rand Paul - philosophically untrustworthy

Posted: May 22, 2015

Rand Paul equates right to healthcare with slavery.  This is an idiotic equivalence.

I knew he could not be trusted.

;

I trust him more than Killary. She/it has proven it cannot be trusted - Is a pathological liar

Among other things. It cares about nothing but itself. Corruptness and evil at it's finest.

Just lies, distorts, repeat.

Deflection, obsession, and projection. - sm

This post wasn't about Hillary Clinton, but look at the GOP fear-and-smear campaign going into overdrive with the dehumanization propaganda. Doesn't matter what the subject matter is, it is twisted into a rant about Hillary.

The stench of desperation coming from the GOP circus tent is getting thicker by the day.

You caught the "it" too? :) - Julia Sugarbaker

[ In Reply To ..]
That's because "it" isn't really talking about Hillary when "it" says "it" ;)

"Projection" was an appropriate word, I think, but it may be deeper than that.

Your soul/spirit senses what's really going on here, I think, as does mine - trust it;)

Nope, my post was exactly what I wrote about - Killary - You bet it's an "it"

[ In Reply To ..]
There is nothing good about "it". Evil does not have male/female qualities, only the body it inhabits while walking around. There are no good human attributes that would make it human. Humanoid, yes...human, no.

I have no love for the GOP either. Many of them along with the democrats are exactly the same thing. There is no difference.

For someone to be dehumanized, they first need to be human. Hence, it is impossible to dehumanize "it".

No rant is needed. She has dug her own hole. She can deal with what she has done.

Since I am not republican, democrat or any party there is no desperation. I am still hopeful for someone good who can lead the country out of the dark hole we are in. It's certainly not Killary. What she did in her part on Benghazi...well heck, she thinks the whole country is her oyster to do with whatever its wants and openly showing how it doesn't care about the people. Only her own selfish narcissistic self.

Lies, distort, repeat, lies, distort repeat. That is it's motto and it does it very well. Just look at all the people it has bamboozled.
Objectification into an "it" is a form of dehumanizing - Julia Sugarbaker
[ In Reply To ..]
...and it's historically only used by people about other human beings when a person wants to make it easier on their conscience to treat them badly, or, in the sense I used it, to describe a mentality or spirit.

But on a good note, doing so means there still is a conscience somewhere deep inside, that should be let through to speak more often. I am praying that it will:)

And yes, we realized you truly believe you're talking about Hillary. But she has done nothing to anyone here personally to evoke or provoke that kind of display of hatred.
And as I said - there is no dehuminizing - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
Don't know how much more simpler I can state that. There is nothing there to dehumanize. It's an empty shell in movement. I don't hate, but I also don't like evil.

What do you mean she has done nothing? Her whole career is based on lies and crimes. The whole family (if that's what you can call it) is now gang mentality. Crimes, lies, fear mongering of the worst kind. And the results of innocent human lives lost are because of that.

And she doesn't care. Just keeps spewing her lies, showing she does not care about the people of the country. She thinks she is a queen, that the position should just be handed over to her, even though she is not qualified and could not handle the job. She is not a queen and she needs to learn that. Just another waste.

I really have no idea what it is you think you are going to pray for. I have a very close relationship with the Lord. Through Him I identify the evil and only through Him will the country survive. That is why she will not make it. Good and evil cannot exist side by side and since good is coming (He's told me to be patient) "it" will not make it. It's only a clown show with her at this time. Every time she turns around her criminal activities, deceipt, lies, manipulation, arrogance, selfishness, cruel, conniving, etc personality comes through. Her sneaky deception, disregard to follow orders and then come right out and tell everyone how she deceived them and did not do what she was told to do and laughed about it is what is bringing her down.
One thing we agree on is - Julia Sugarbaker
[ In Reply To ..]
...anyone who exhibits "deceipt, lies, manipulation, arrogance, selfishness, cruel, conniving, etc personality" has nothing to do with MY Lord

(The above is in reference to the comment I'm replying to about "having a very close personal relationship to the Lord.")

I disagree that this is an accurate description of Hillary, it more accurately describes GW Bush, in my opinion. But the truth is, we don't really know either personally.

As for your question about who I pray for, I can pray for whomever and whatever I like because that is what Christ charged us to do, "pray for those who spitefully use us and bless those who curse us".

And most people with "close relationships with the Lord", as you say, would just be happy others are praying, it should fill their soul with joy, even if the prayer is for them but they don't feel they need any. Even atheists may laugh at those who say this, but they also recognize the different in intent coming towards them from offer of prayer rather than hate-filled diatribe.

However, most of us don't think we're above being prayed for, and no one is beyond redemption, even if they imagine themselves not needing redemption.

Speaking of which (considering the post and thread above this one) - not even Josh Duggar is beyond redemption, which I think was what Mike Huckabee was trying to say. It is unlikely, in his case, considering pedophilia is incurable, but nothing is impossible with God if we consider Paul's conversion; but conversion is extremely rare. I think when there is the possibility of uncontrollable urges to hurt children, they should be removed immediately from that environment and contained.

However, I wish Mike had extended the same, immediately loving and forgiving attitude towards consenting adult homosexuals who at least don't sexually abuse innocent children, to include their own sisters.
Christ said love your neighbor as yourself and forgive 70x7, but he didn't say "forget" or enable them because that's NOT loving your neighbors, and he definitely didn't say to forgive them just because they help your political career.

I am not saying what I am about to say is the case with the Duggars, because I do think they try very hard to seek God (and one thing we can say about the Duggars is at least the hatred/venom we've seen expressed on this forum would ever come out of their mouths), but I do feel the church has unfortunately become a good place for evil to hide to avoid suspicion - and my Lord has nothing to do with that hatred and venom either.

In fact, evil within the church itself is what the parable of the wheat and the tares is all about, and he promises he and his angels will take care of those tares at the end of days, they will be thrown into the fire.

I tend to use the following as a guideline to help separate the wheat from the tares for recognition purposes, though, separating the sheep from the wolves in sheep's clothing - because true sheep will ALWAYS know their true master's voice:

"These are the things you are to teach and insist on. 3 If anyone teaches otherwise and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, 4 they are conceited and understand nothing. They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions 5 and constant friction between people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain."

"6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs."

I wish I could take credit for that anti-fascism quote, but... - Julia Sugarbaker
[ In Reply To ..]
...but it was originally attributed to Sinclair Lewis and goes:

"When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross."

Apparently, though it sounds like something he'd say, he didn't actually say it, though he espoused this ideology. It's believed the quote was derived from two sources.

The first is James Waterman Wise Jr, who eerily and prophetically said this in 1936:

"If fascism comes, it will not be identified with any "shirt" movement, nor with an "insignia," but it will probably be "wrapped up in the American flag and heralded as a plea for liberty and preservation of the constitution."

And Professor Halford E. Luccock, who said this in 1938:

"When and if fascism comes to America it will not be labeled "made in Germany"; it will not be marked with a swastika; it will not even be called fascism; it will be called, of course, "Americanism."

Designing Women - men have no idea how great that show was because they refused to watch it as a "chick show." However, I did catch Captain Sugarbaker watching it one day when the TV Guide channel used to play the episodes with the schedule at the bottom of the screen. He started laughing.

I said, "What are you watching that has you laughing so hard?"

He said, "Umm...Designing Women, it's on TV Guide while I was looking to see what was on SyFy, but don't tell anyone." lol (I have his permission to tell now, though;)

Here's one of my favorite show moments fans of the show might appreciate..:)

Though the clip doesn't show it, the beginning of the scene starts with Mary Jo asking "me" to get fired up so she could take notes. "I" said I don't feel very feel fired up right now.

So they all start listing things that make them mad, with Suzanne beginning the discussion, talking about what really makes her mad is:

"When men use women's lib as an excuse not to kill the bug for ya! OH, I just hate that! "lol

"I" just make a thin-lipped face, look at my shallow-but-loveable sister and say, "I really don't think I can add anything to that" and wait for more inspiration.

Oh, "I" found it later all right;)

From the Emmy-winning "Killing all the right people?" episode in 1986...

And this one just makes me laugh, regarding discussion of Bernice's mental status with her relatives (the "unusual" lady chiming in at the last part of the first clip):

[ In Reply To ..]
Apparently, a few are lacking in mirrors? Here's one I'll hold up:

The OP's post was about Rand Paul, not Hillary - that was the first deflection. If we are reporting others for being off topic, it should begin there.

I also did not write the "deflection, obsession" post pointing out that bringing up Hillary was deflection/off topic. I just responded to it.

However, then the author of the "Hillary" comment responded to the "deflection" commenter, which included mention of content found within my comment, so I replied to them directly.

It was in that comment I mentioned prayer for anyone behaving in the way that commenter described.

Considering there are many visible comments advocating "conservative values based on faith" , if my comment is removed, so should theirs be.

Additionally, that person then responded directly to me and stated "I have a very close relationship with the Lord".

So again, if mine is removed for faith mention, so should there's be.

Once again, I will not be reporting anyone. However, if fascists feel the need to do so in lieu of offering proper rebuttle in debate, just so their own voice is heard, here, so be it.

But realize that doing so may be silent - but actually the loudest - detraction of their own POV than anything any of us has ever said about the far right.
That was in response to you first bringing up religion - take it to the faith board

Just because you like it doesn't mean it's actually true.

If conservatives really cared about the truth, they'd seek it out. The Fox News and Breitbart lies and right-wing propaganda outlets are full of lies and innuendo and outright fabrications. It's propaganda that knows exactly how to punch conservatives' fraidy and scared victim buttons.

Conservatives hear something negative about a candidate in right-wing media, and they don't care whether it's true or not. It can be debunked all over the Internet, but conservatives don't care. They're off to the races repeating the lies. It feeds right into their worldview, and they eat it up and spread the lies further, don't really care what the actual facts are, and all the while they are doing this, conservatives are constantly whining about lying liars.

This poster said: "you mean the left wing propaganda machine - Lie, distort, repeat"

The old "you mean" political technique has proven to be a mainstay for conservatives so get your popcorn ready for the circus debates in August 2015. This technique ranks right up there with the conservative technique of "I know you are but what am I," political debate that conservatives have lifted right out of the Pee-Wee Herman playbook and exhibited on televised debates with incredible comedic effect. Just try and not choke on that popcorn as you laugh at the clowns/candidates. Performing in the center ring, Marco Rubio does a flip-flop on immigration. Yes, we know Rubio helped write the Senate bill and voted "yes" for immigration reform, but he has flippity flopped into a candidate who does not support his own bill. The real debate fun starts when the candidates move to Telemundo and the clown candidates arrive with fake spray-on tans colored Boehner Brown (basically an orange hue).

Actually, I mean exactly what I said in my post. Anyone claiming otherwise is lying and distorting my position and repeating a fabrication, thus proving my post to be factual. Thank you so much for the concrete evidence and demonstrative assist. :)

RULE 1: “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.”

RULE 2: “Never go outside the expertise of your people.”

RULE 3: “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.”

RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.”

RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”

RULE 6: “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.”

RULE 7: “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.”

RULE 8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.”

RULE 9: “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.”

RULE 10: “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.”

RULE 11: “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.”

RULE 12: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”

Of these, Rules 4, 5, 8, and 12 have been used to greatest effect by the Left. In their war against the Constitution and traditional America, they have assailed, in turn, most of the great foundations of our society.

Much has been made in recent political history of Saul Alinsky and his Rules for Radicals. Barack Obama taught a class on using Alinsky principles to keep the nation in chaos. After all, it’s easier to get radical policies enacted during a crisis.

So, Demalinksy is a reality. I have another word for it though.

And we have mentioned this before, so no one is deceived by this display of feigning ignorance or conservative nonassociation with Alinsky.

Though Hillary wrote her thesis on some of his ideas, she has criticized his methodology, including Rules for Radicals.
Unfortunately, that became the Buckley and the Tea Party's favorite part, they are perfect examples of it.

Though I personally find those "rules" morally reprehensible and bullying, that wasn't all that Saul Alinsky wrote or said. Just like with Karl Marx, can't always throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Let's talk about Hillary. Sorry, let's talk about Rand Paul's flawed concept here. - Someone needs to interject some intellect.

[ In Reply To ..]
So Rand Paul equates Obamacare with slavery? Actually, this is a flawed concept.

Paul says: "With regard to the idea of whether you have a right to healthcare, you have to realize what that implies. It's not an abstraction. I'm a physician. That means you have a right to come to my house and conscript me."

This is a statement that would resonate with the "perpetually persecuted" crowd who constantly feel like they are victims who are under attack. Paul presents himself as the victim of the left, which is that same victim mentality that the righties are always whining about. Health insurance somehow makes them victims of the left? LOL. Before Obamacare, I don't remember hearing any righties whining about being victims of the lefties for creating healthcare for Americans over the age of 65. Ummmm. No, Rand. Medicare has been around for a long, long time, but it doesn't mean you personally are a physician slave to people over 65 years of age whom you treat. LOL.

Paul goes on to say: "It means you believe in slavery. It means that you're going to enslave not only me, but the janitor at my hospital, the person who cleans my office, the assistants who work in my office, the nurses," adding that there is "an implied use of force."

"If I'm a physician in your community and you say you have a right to healthcare, you have a right to beat down my door with the police, escort me away and force me to take care of you? That’s ultimately what the right to free healthcare would be."

Ummm, no, Rand! Perhaps you yourself have enslaved your staff by paying them crap for wages, but a person being able to buy health insurance on the free market for a reasonable price does not automatically turn doctors, their nurses, staff, and the janitors into slaves.

Poor misguided Rand Paul. It makes one wonder if he is not just plain stupid, and it tells you everything you need to know about how his mind works. One needs only to read the Constitution of the United States to know that our Constitution states that people shall "enjoy the right" to have "assistance of counsel" in criminal prosecution. Based on Rand Paul's theory, lawyers have been slaves in this country for over 200 years. The nerve of those founding fathers to enslave all the lawyers!

I'm guessing that this Rand Paul rant is no doubt where Dr. Ben Carson gets his stupid ideas regarding Obamacare being the worst thing since slavery. If I follow that out to its natural conclusion, then I have to come to the realization that Ben Carson probably doesn't like Medicare too much either, and perhaps Obamacare is really only the worst thing since Medicare to Dr. Carson. Or does the doctor think health care for Americans under 65 is the worst thing since slavery while he thinks health care for Americans 65 and over is a wonderful idea? I don't remember Dr. Carson whining about Medicare. I guess it's only slavery when those horrible under 65 year olds want health insurance LOL.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to think through that basic premise. Does healthcare for Americans under 65 equate to slavery yet magically is a wonderful thing for people 65 years and older? This is an elementary concept that these two fools are failing to grasp. Anyone with basic rudimentary brain function knows that health insurance for Americans is not the worst thing since slavery nor does it magically turn doctors into slaves.

Rand Paul needs to open his eyes, and Ben Carson needs his head examined, and I'm going to just say "no" to both of the idiot conservative medical doctors running for president.

The Washington Post article below mentions a few who endorsed Ron Paul, but whom have either "defected" over his son, Rand Paul, or just aren't sure about him yet. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/wp/2015/05/20/ron-pauls-celebrity-fans-arent-flocking-to-rand-paul/ Apparently disillusioned with Obama by 2012, Bill Maher c ...

William Hilton Paul, the 22-year-old son of Republican presidential contender Rand Paul, was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol just before noon Sunday after he hit the back of a parked vehicle on Woodland Avenue. This is the third time William Paul has had a run-in with the law because of alcohol use. A spokesman for U.S. Sen. Rand Paul's presidential campaign said the senator "does not comment on any private matters in regards to his family." According to the citati ...

Whoops. McConnell Campaign Manager, Extended Family To Ron/Rand PaulAug 09, 2013
His temporary move from Paul to McConnell was supposed to bring the two adversaries closer together, their two GOP wings closer together, and set Rand Paul up for 2016. As for holding noses, Benton has himself recently been implicated in alleged bribery of an Iowa state senator to endorse Ron Paul during the last election. From the Washington Post; recorded conversation is real, at the link below.   McConnell campaign manager Jesse Benton says he is running the race ‘holdin’ m ...

Alleged Dylann Roof Blog Reveals CCC's Influence, Donations To Ted Cruz, Rand Paul AndJun 22, 2015
Like the victims' families, many of us were crying "why" when this first happened.  We now know more about his motivaton for the crime.  If the blog currently being investigated is authentic, Dylann Roof claims he was heavily racially AND politically influenced by Earl Holt (president of the CCC) and the Council of Conservative Citizens website (self-removed since this story broke). The alleged "Roof manifesto" is very specific about his hatred for blacks, hispanics AND Jews (did ...

"Wrestlemania" SuperPAC Ad For Rand Paul Aims At R-candidates & ObamaMay 29, 2015
And the Tea Party wonders why public perception is that they are hostile, paranoid and have no loyalty to anyone but themselves.  Apparently, not even to themselves, the ad took a shot at Ted Cruz as being a Patriot Act spy supporter , too? lol On second thought, now there's a wrestling match I'd like to see - Cruz vs. Paul.  However, methinks it would end as it would with most big-mouthed brawlers - both would end up crying and running to their daddies;) http://www.washin ...

That Contemptuous Tape: Is Mr. Romney Also An Ayn Rand Admirer?Sep 20, 2012
Unless: It really seems as if Mr. Romney may also be an Ayn Rand admirer, sharing her contempt for the middle classes and all people who pay into entitlement programs like Social Security (she took it herself but loathed it), as well as her glorification of the wealthy and ruthless accumulation of wealth. He did choose a long-time Rand follower for his running mate. And from his speeches it does seem he regards himself as a Rand-type hero. This description of Rand's attitude is fro ...

One Of Paul Ryan's Best And Most May 27, 2011
quotes: Ryan gave strong advice to GOP presidential candidates: "If you want to be the president of the United States, you should put up ideas on how to solve this country's massive fiscal and economic problems. The current president isn't doing that. Our nominees should do that." This man gets it.  I don't care what party he is...he gets it. ...
