When you scrape the "take-from-the-rich" shine off of Sanders, you find exactly what most of us had already known he was - just another back-room cigar-smoking deal-cutting silver-plate scratch-my-back politician.
Obviously, he meant none of the things he said about Clinton during the primaries.
"She's better than Trump" isn't a reason for his endorsement. At best, it's an excuse and at worst it signals that - as Obama did with Clinton in 2008 - a deal was made. Hopefully, she won't be elected and we'll never have the opportunity to find out what it was.

Some of his supporters will turn away, but his support will bring along his supporters. That was his bargaining chip. She needs Bernie more than Bernie needs her.
