Venezuela has oil but it's difficult to refine. I read it is very thick, almost tar-like and is loaded with sulfur which has to be removed. The US refineries are the only ones capable of refining it economically. I read that the Chinese were going to upgrade their refineries to handle it, but that takes lots of time and a lot of money.

Sanders told them "If elected president of the United States, you will have an ally in the Oval Office.” What does that mean? Taxpayers will bail them out so they can go back to their socialist ways? They nationalized their sugar cane and coffee industries.
