If they are not bothered by it, they aren't much better than who they are killing, and if they are, they are traumatized. We actually researched this for a school debate, and executioners are not a happy bunch. Let the murderers keep their belts and razor blades so they can do it themselves if they don't want to be locked up until they die naturally, but don't make somebody else become a killer as well.
The abortion issue is a very tough one. Nothing occurs in a vacuum, yet people always just look at it as either a woman's choice or murder. I have transcribed multiple abortions in a day before, one right after the other. Sad, but imagine none of those women had that choice and all of those babies were born. First off, many of them would probably be unhealthy because who is going to take their prenatal vitamins and quit smoking if they are having a baby they don't want? Shoot, plenty of women who do want the baby won't quit smoking or get decent prenatal care. So a large percentage of those babies are going to start life already with serious mental and health issues, which will be compounded if they are kept by said mother who didn't want them in the first place. some of them might be adopted by loving parents, if they are the right color and healthy, but that means a much smaller chance for a child already on this planet who is not white, or who has mental or physical issues, or is older, to be adopted. And of course there is the population issue. The way we live our population growth is not sustainable. The more unwanted children who come into the world now, the fewer wanted children who will be allowed to come into it later because if you think limiting how many people children can have can never happen here you are delusional. People don't limit themselves, eventually somebody else will do it for them. Abortion sucks, but we have reached the point where it is a necessary evil. Some of those babies lives could possibly be great, but chances are many, many of them will be horrible.

[ In Reply To ..]I think making adoption more easy could/would help. I would like to open my heart to another child, and I am not "picky" for lack of a better word, but the fees are the problem. Someone else posted something similar about how instead of having to pay $10,000 for the child, how that money could be used for the child down the road. We don't have $10,000.

[ In Reply To ..]and adopted 2 older children from Kazakhstan, ages almost 13 and 8-1/2 at the time. We would not be able to do that now though, so I totally understand. If you are adopting an older child or a child with physical/mental issues domestically though, you don't have to pay anything, heck, they'll pay you. You want a healthy white baby, you are going to have to pay. But even if everybody who felt like you were willing and able to adopt, it would not even make a dent in the unwanted kids all over the world, who if they make it to adulthood will definitely not make it there unscathed, not that anybody does, but they will have it a LOT worse.
