Elizabeth Lauten railing on the president's daughters was completely out of line. I would suggest to her that if she really doesn't have any better analysis she should keep her mouth shut.

The ones who criticized the Bush daughters for 8 solid years. Maybe if you said to those criticizers they should "keep their mouth shut", then it would be fair to say it to this one too.

Bush daughters were almost adults and doing things that most of us would consider inappropriate for "kids."

The hateful remarks about Sasha and Malia were about teenagers making disapproving looks at their father pardoning a turkey.

You're bringing up the Bush daughters? Would those be the daughters that were 19 years of age (legally adults), and who had a habit of trying to get alcohol before being 21? Jenna even tried to use a borrowed ID to buy alcohol illegally! And when she showed up for her court date in a low-cut blouse, pink pants and a toe ring, well, she was certainly showing zero respect for the court and the law!

How does that compare with criticizing the Obama girls, aged 13 and 16, for looking a bit bored at a silly traditional event? Answer: it doesn't compare at all.

Sure, Lauten has the free speech right to say what she wants. Happily, the adults in the world have the right to call her out for being a loudmouth, low-class jerk, and run her out of a job.

Gee, if only she had used some of that good sense that Republicans insist only they have, or if she had applied some of those family values (like not being a nasty hag towards teenage girls) conservatives are always claiming, maybe she wouldn't be out of a job today.

First families always take some heat, some more than others (remember poor awkward Amy Carter?). These days, though, it's not only First families, it's anyone that throws out the idea of running for a higher office - wives, kids, siblings, etc. Just wondering where the lib outrage was when the maternity of Sarah Palin's child was questioned or when the baby was called retarded or when it was suggested that she should have aborted the baby? True she wasn't in the White House, but does that make it okay? No, it doesn't, and it is out of line, but unfortunately these days, with more opinion shows than news shows, this is what you get.

I am wondering if anyone else out there has suffered from crippling panic attacks. I can get them in crowded places, escalators, etc. My biggest issue comes from driving. I can't handle lots of traffic but sometimes even in light traffic is becomes a problem. This is very serious to me and is beginng to affect my everyday life. Was anyone able to catch the House Intelligence Committee testimony yesterday? It was pretty fascinating... and civil!!
