Well, let the layoffs begin (see link) because of the most vile piece of legislation ever passed by a one-sided Congress - Obamacare. Note the last paragraph.

the state exchanges? Businesses with fewer than 50 employees don't HAVE to provide it. Larger businesses do but would only have to pay a penalty of $2000 per employee if they didn't--as we all know, a small fraction of what they are paying now.

Or perhaps they could sign up for one of those big-government programs in place to help businesses keep jobs open? The ACA itself has provisions for helping small business cover the costs. BTW, the definition of a small business actually can cover some pretty sizeable ones, like a manufacturer with up to 500 to 1500 employees depending...

Perhaps there are actually OTHER reasons for the layoffs? Maybe they're offshoring the jobs and chose lying about insurance reform as an easy way to deflect anger away from them. Could they even have been trying to influence their employees' vote by lying to them? It does happen, after all.

Obamacare is going to ruin the nation. 2000+ pages of UNREAD mandates are coming to fruition. My own rates went UP $100/month since this stupid law passed..and it shall continue. Why did so many doctors drop patients who had Medicare Advantage plans? My husband's oncologist said she could no longer take it because it was going to be insolvent with Obamacare. Now all of a sudden AARP is offering it. What is really going on here? I think someone is getting lied to. I can't imagine so many doctors would have dropped it if they weren't sure about Obamacare.

Many companies are laying off because of Obamacare - but you can't see that through rose colored glasses.

Two very large restaurant chains in my city have advised ALL employees, no more FT period. They are all losing their insurance as of 01/01/2013 because of the work status change.

If not such a big deal, maybe you vcan gie you job up (if you work) to someone that depends on a paycheck as a maker, not a taker.

Someone who depends on a paycheck is a MAKER and they should have access to affordable health care.

Workers (MAKERS) of these restaurant chains work hard and long hours, holidays, etc. Kinda like us. Their employers are raking in the bucks (TAKERS).

Does your MTSO offer you health insurance? I won't insult you by parenthetically asking if you work. If yes to the health insurance question, would it be okay with you if they didn't? Would it be okay if they reduced your hours to avoid offering you health insurance?

Labeling makers and takers by radio personalities, right-wing news organizations, right-wing pundits, insults and alienates citizens who are productive members in their community.

In other words, if not a Republican, you are a taker.

I've worked since I was 16 and the only gov check I've received is a tax return. So I'm a taker according to the Republicans. They do absolutely nothing to attract my vote.
