Not too shabby for saving the country from the second great depression. At the end of Bush's term, the DOW was around 7,000. Recently the DOW is around 11,000. Certainly the country is still hurting, but things ARE getting better.

Bankers, insurance and corporate/real estate execs made millions, while they sent our jobs offshore, devalued our homes, cancelled our health insurance policies,and stole our 401Ks. The last two years Bush was still there with his veto power with the party of "no" digging in their heels.

I posted a few days ago on the Health Board. I had a very bad fall down icy cement steps last Friday. My ankle was terribly swollen, and I have a bad abrasion on the top of my foot. Later I posted, saying things were looking better. Today the condition seems worse again. The top of my foot is red and very warm. I have been on antibiotics since last Sunday. First, in all fairness, it is not a bailout in the usual sense of the word. This article deals fairly with the with history of both companies and does lay out both sides of the coin. On the face of it, however, it does seem to me to be unethical on the part of UPS and the Teamsters in an effort to wreck their biggest competitor (FedEx).
