Time to divide

Posted: Mar 13, 2012

Thought this out carefully. Liberals will live in northeast states and midwest. Conservatives can have california and the south. They will have the warm climate but it is worth it to be free of them.  Conservatives can ban all birth control but they wont need it because unless they are married they wont have sex.  They will dress in long print dresses and sensible shoes.  The womenfolk will spend their time tending their multiple children.  For a hobby, the women will make taffeta dresses for their daugthers to wear in the toddler beauty pageants.  sarah palin will be queen, but country will be run strictly by the men. everyone over 6 will be required to carry a gun. Women must submit to transvaginal probe before voting. Votes will count only 1/3 of a man's vote.

In the north, we will build an electric fence to protect us from the conservatives who want to attack us. No one will be allowed to change their mind and cross back over into north.  We will continue our book learnin in the north along with community gardening.  we will form families with any configuration we like. we will work diligently on green energy and seeking peace with the world.

I know it is drastic, but things are too polarized for any other solution.

doesnt matter what - conservative women

[ In Reply To ..]
stand for. You have selected leaders who make that very clear. And you dont even know it.

What a hateful post - AP

[ In Reply To ..]
Now this is the most hateful thing I've read in awhile. Let me elaborate for you.

No you don't divide the country into sections. You get a leader who unites everyone together. (i.e. you don't tell groups of people the party you don't belong to is the enemy). Although that is something you don't like - united. You want everyone to continue to be divided. It's the "my way or the highway" attitude which is part of the problem.

Your portrayal of conservative women is so far off and so full of hate. Your ideas of dreassmaking and no sex until your married? You do realize thins is the year 2012. You are still living in 1612. You should join us here. Things are really changed since then.

How about this instead. You have 2 presidents. One that represents conservatives/independents and one that represents liberals/socialists/communists. You register to vote and depending on what party you are registered under you either benefit from the republican president or you suffer under the democrat one. All the democrats can be taxed 80% to take care of the other democrats who want to mooch. But if you are registered as a conservative, unless you are handicapped, sick, feeble, or other reasons you cannot work you will not stand by the side of the road expecting a free handout. Us conservatives will continue to prosper. We will continue to build businesses. We will continue to donate to charities and help the sick and poor. Help the poor get out of being poor. We will have the freedoms the liberals will not allow you to have.

However, after a trial of the liberal life we will welcome people to change parties and become republicans. Because we love people and want people to do better and prosper. That is what America is about and what our forefathers worked so hard for us and risks their lives for. Well the democrats, they can continue to hate. You'll be in good company.

This was not funny or your attempt to poke fun of conservatives. Someone even tried to claim satire.

Posts like this are not funny. This is why the country is divided because of people that think this way.

Oh, and what was your opinion - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
on the Hitler post that sounded like one of those stupid chain letters? Did you think that was funny, or that it might be divisive?
I haven't read that one yet. I don't see any posts titled Hitler. - - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
You know, some of us do work here and don't spend every minute on this site.

I have not read all the posts. I have read only about 50% or so. But I didn't see any titled Hitler. Did I miss it? I'm in the middle of work, but will try and locate it when I'm done.
Okay now I read it. - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
Actually to tell you the truth...it bored me. I neither liked nor disliked it. It was just a list of facts/similarities. I've also read things about what Hitler was like that would be very surprising to people. But I read it and yes there are similarities, but that surely doesn't mean Obama is Hitler and is going to exterminate anyone. They just have similar things that have occurred in their lives. I think it bored me because I read it before the last election. Didn't stop me from voting for him. I do have a rational mind to know what's right and wrong and what is just hooey.

But we are talking about two different issues here. That post you referred to is about Obama and Hitler and similarites. It did not say anything about whoever voted for Hitler was ignorant and dumpster divers, etc and has no use in society because they listened to him, but if you listen to liberal sites well they hey, your just so above everyone else.

So my opinion on the Hitler piece I guess is neutral. I didn't like it or dislike it, but it's a whole different thing than what this poster is saying here.
What is your opinion on my reply. - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I replied yesterday to your request of what my opinion was on the post about Hitler. I would like to know what you think about my reply.
Since you asked - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I am appalled that you are "neutral" on the post regarding the most evil man in modern history, the holocaust, and trying to imply that President Obama is in the same league.

The post about the "separation" is obviously "tongue-in-cheek" about a satirical possible solution--something that is entirely fictional.

Thus, you can glean my opinion.
That's not what I wrote - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I wrote I was neutral because the piece bored me. It was the same ol hash I read 3 or so years ago. I also voted for the guy and this stupid article did not stop me. People are smart enough to know the difference. You don't give people any credit. I also said I didn't like the piece. I never said Obama was in the same league. I even said that just because there are similarities it doesn't mean he's like him. What part of that didn't you read (or understand). So let me repeat because obvious you didn't read my post. I never said he was in the same league. Your words not mine. And my exact words were "yes there are similarities, but that surely doesn't mean Obama is Hitler and is going to exterminate anyone".

So you mean to tell me:

1. I became very close to my mother as my father showed no interest in me. That doesn't pertain to Obama? or

2. Later in life, questions arose over my real name. That doesn't pertain to Obama? etc, etc.

yes, the post described things that have happened to Obama. They also describe things that have happened to Hitler. And of course it doesn't mean Obama is like Hitler. Heck I'm sure some of those things written have happened to thousands or millions of people. Heck even a couple of those things have happened to me. It surely does not mean I'm like Hitler either.

But this hit piece that I replied to was not tongue in cheek. It was a hateful hit piece targeted against conservatives. But your okay as long as its directed against conservatives. It was disgusting and shame on you for trying to NOW come out and say "oh it was meant to be funny".

Maybe to you it was fictional. Unfortunately many liberals believe it to be true. To me that BS article regarding Obama/Hitler that you are so worked up over is just fiction and BS. I didn't like and I didn't hate it because it was boring. There is nothing to hate since it lists a bunch of things Obama has accomplished.

I'm done!

[ In Reply To ..]
whine, whine. Nothing to contribute, just complain, complain.

You do know that conservatives and liberals can live together side by side - what if - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
There was no point. Conservatives don't want to be divided. We are the ones trying to unite. We are the ones trying to work with the democrats in office. Looks like the liberals are the ones who want to be divided. Can't stand a difference of opinion or competition so you have to go off and run and hide and build a wall around your compound and on top of that the poster won't even allow conservatives to change parties and join them (although truthfully who would want to - too much fear and hate).

So if back in the 1950s they ended racial segregation in America why can't the liberal learn to live side by side with conservatives. We are human beings after all. We are just like you in the sense that we sleep, eat, and drink, we have children. We basically want the same things you do. We want jobs and a home, be able to send our kids to school, put food on the table, grow old with our significant others and retired. Heck, we even dress the same way you do. Really, trust me, there is no reason to be afraid of us. Despite what you have been told by your favorite media outlets we do not have horns on our heads. I'll even let you inspect my head so you can see that what I say is the truth.

So...if blacks and whites can live together in harmony, work, eat and even marry each other, why can't you liberals learn to live with us too instead of creating a compound with a fence around it to stave off those pesky conservatives.
Wait...did u just say the conservatives are - sm

Wouldn't know...don't watch Flox, Faux or whatever you're calling it now - What's that saying about assume?
[ In Reply To ..]
I don't watch Fox because I don't get the real news. I get their opinion and then they tell me I can decide? Right...nothing like putting an idea in someone's head to make them think they thought of it.

So I don't watch Fox. Yes I know it's hard for you to believe, but there are conservatives who don't watch Fox or listen to Rush. I also don't watch CNN or MSNBC. In fact I don't watch any news station. My TV is for movies and entertainment. If I want to know what's happening in the news there is the internet and tons of news sites.

My opinions are formed by reading what congress is doing. Who's working with who and who is not. Who's being locked out of meetings they should be in. Who is trying to pass bills and who is not working with them. Who is standing on the floor having a childish temper tantrum. If a debate or speech or something really important is going on I'll turn on CSPAN. Otherwise I'm sure not going to get any news from all the TV news stations. Except local news. Get to hear about all the meth and crack problems in our city.
Yes, I do know what they say about "assume" - nm

Trump And The American Divide. This Is A Long ButJan 16, 2017
and this is just an excerpt... Barack Obama’s two electoral victories deluded the Democrats into thinking that it was politically wise to jettison their old blue-collar appeal to the working classes, mostly living outside the cities these days, in favor of an identity politics of a new multicultural, urban America. Yet Trump’s success represented more than simply a triumph of rural whites over multiracial urbanites. More ominously for liberals, it also suggested that a growing minority o ...
