Sweet 16! Kasich enters the race--his ad

Posted: Jul 21, 2015

Well, everybody knows that doesn't matter to Republicans--at least for now, Side Show Don has the stage.;

It's a shame he won't make it for the following reasons: - Truthhurts

1. He's religious so atheists won't vote for him;
2. He believes in giving a hand up, not hand out, so those dependent on the government for their survival won't vote for him;
3. He believes in balancing the budget, so Democrats won't vote for him;
4. He jokingly stated he was a star at Fox News, so those liberal progressives who hate Fox won't vote for him;
5. He believes the citizens of this country come first, so the illegals won't vote for him (ah, they wouldn't anyway because their votes are given to Hillary).
6. He has been in politics since Reagan so those against politicians won't vote for him.

I listened to his speech and loved what he had to say. Hopefully, he will move up quickly in the ranks, but I doubt it. The media will start busting on him within the hour.

It is a shame. - sm

"1. He's religious so atheists won't vote for him;"

What presidential candidate hasn't said he was religious in some way, and did that stop atheists from voting?

"2. He believes in giving a hand up, not hand out, so those dependent on the government for their survival won't vote for him;"

But, but, but a "hand up" is a "hand out" to conservatives and their ilk. Kasich actually said: "If you're poor, if you're black, if you're brown, if you're struggling, we care about you, and we're going to work to make sure you're included in the American dream." I suspect John Kasich won't appeal to the right-wing fringe and their ilk precisely because he is a true Christian and believes in behaving like Christ and having true Christian values instead of just giving lip service to "family values."

"3. He believes in balancing the budget, so Democrats won't vote for him;"

Democrats don't generally vote in Republican primaries and don't generally vote Republican anyway so why pick a balanced budget as the reason?

4. He jokingly stated he was a star at Fox News, so those liberal progressives who hate Fox won't vote for him;

Again, liberal progressives wouldn't care if he was a Foxbot or not, the fact that he was a Republican would be enough reason not to vote for him.

"5. He believes the citizens of this country come first, so the illegals won't vote for him (ah, they wouldn't anyway because their votes are given to Hillary)."

Illegals won't vote for him because illegals can't vote.

"6. He has been in politics since Reagan so those against politicians won't vote for him."

I think lots of Democrats are going to vote for candidates that have been in politics since BEFORE Reagan so I guess you must be insinuating that conservatives are the shallow ones here?

"The media will start busting on him within the hour."

Should "the media" go light on him while "busting" on everyone else? Since he was a Foxbot for quite a long time, I actually think he is in a much better position to handle "the media."

Honestly, why won't Republicans get behind Kasich?

He expanded Medicaid through Obamacare because it was what was best for the people in his state and didn't follow the GOP party line of putting politics first before people, and he is open to negotiation on citizenship for illegals and has said he is pro-immigration in the past. He's a reasonable person who will negotiate what's best for constituents, and conservatives hate anyone who isn't in lockstep with their radical right-wing agenda of party and politics before the actual people.

So much wrong with your post... - it doesn't pay to go into it.

Do not like the man at all. He would be our first Asperger syndrome president, though. A wall street veteran is hardly the qualification I am looking for in a world leader at this point in time. Give him a calculator and lock him in a closet - he'd be happy.

I am interested in Kasich.... - can you substantiate this?

[ In Reply To ..]
I googled it and found nothing, so I want to make sure that you aren't just making something up for whatever reason.....

that is just my personal opinion. He seems to be getting positive coverage even on MSNBC, but I still think a wall streeter is the opposite of what we need in this country.
I've been hearing he won't make it to the debates - because now its all about the Donald.

Yes, it was just SO smart of the GOP to allow that buffoon to run. Trump is so "charismatic", everyone's all but forgotten there are still 15 other Republican candidates. And the one they focus all their adoration on is one who can't possibly win.

Is Cruz And Kasich Plan To Block TrumpApr 26, 2016
Listening to Kasich double talk his and Cruz plan to block Trump now saying it is not a plan but he has just decided not to campaign in certain states    This idiot believes that if he does not campaign voters will automatically vote for Cruz. That is going to backfire big.  Kasich is banking on voters not voting for him because he did not campaign and their votes will automatically go to Cruz and not Trump.  With this Kasich/Cruz plot, I hope Trump wins overwhelmingly. &n ...

Good Doings In Ohio: GOP Governor Kasich Accepted TheOct 23, 2013
of course, are outraged, but very conservative Mr. Kasich, who used an "administrative maneuver" to accomplish this, says it's a matter of both Christian compassion, as well as "cool economic practicality." Seemingly Mr. Kasich does not plan to run for President in 2014. :) This will be very big for some Ohioans, and irrelevant for others of course. Hopefully those interested will consider finding out what their new premium and coverages would be either in in person or by phone... ...

By Daniel TencerThursday, January 7th, 2010 -- 2:32 pm The controversy surrounding Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner's role in the 2008 Wall Street bailouts was ramped up Thursday with the revelation of emails that show the New York Federal Reserve -- then run by Geithner -- pressured insurance giant AIG to withhold information about payments the company made to its creditors. Thanks to the person who mentioned "Typing Race" online as a way to increase typing speed. (Can't remember what forum.) It is so fun and addictive. I am re-learning to type on a Dvorak keyboard, to help my carpal tunnel, and it was sort of (very?) discouraging to be reduced to slow, hesitant typing. But Typing Race is making it so much more fun. Sometimes you get matched up against the same people on different races and the ...

Louisiana Gov.
