Santorum: Pre-natal testing leads to abortion

I'm glad Santorum is getting a lot of attention so Americans can see he is friggin nuts.
Rick Santorum said on Sunday he believes specific types of pre-natal testing leads to a greater number of abortions.
"A lot of pre-natal tests are done to identify deformities in utero and the customary procedure is to encourage abortions," he said. "We know that 90 percent of down syndrome children in America are aborted, so to suggest, where does that come from?"
His remarks on CBS's "Face the Nation" followed his comments over the weekend when he first raised the issue.
"Pre-natal testing . . . does in fact result more often than not in this country in abortion," said the former Pennsylvania senator and Republican presidential candidate, standing his ground.
He stopped short of saying he wanted it banned, but said the government should not force doctors to provide that type of specific testing free.
"There are all sorts of pre-natal testing which should be provided free . . .But not all pre-natal testing," he said.

People will never understand the danger of government controlling everything from your birth control to how you die and everything in between until it hits them personally. Then, it would probably be too late. I have seen several comments on this board about the danger of "isms" and then the immediate attack on that poster by the few. Funny thing is, though, I've never seen one poster list a country where any of these "isms" actually worked. The every day people died en mass in these countries. Government cannot even police itself; I don't want it anywhere near me, doing anything other than its assigned duties and regulated by the Constitution.
