Yes, the Democrats have a major "mental block", a direct quote from a poster on here who continually tries to berate and insult any poster not in lock step with that poster's ideology.
Harry Reid has REFUSED to bring any legislation to the floor for a vote since 04/23/2009 that was pushed, sponsored, supported by Republicans, especially if there was bipartisan support.
For those mathematically challenged, Democrats had control of Congress the last 2 years of Bush, and the first 2 years of Obama. The fact that they were completely incapable of working both sides of the aisle falls squarely on their backs. We all know what fillibuster means, so save the gas bagging. If the Democrats had any interest in putting the country before their party, those 4 years would have been held up as examples of bipartisanship led by the Democrats. If the Democrats had any sense of cooperation, fillibusters would never have been a concern. Democrats use fillibusters all the time when it benefits them, but want to set Republicans on fire if they employ the same tactic. The Democrats blew it big time, and now the Whiner in Chief blames everyone else for their shortcomings.
