Republicans always have our best interests

Boehner invites Netanyahu to speak before Congress.

This is not necessary.  Everyone knows exactly how Netanyahu feels about Iran.  This is grandstanding, where they can.

This is detrimental to negotiations with Iran.  It seems someone need to remind the Republicans of the situation in the Mid-East and that we don't need one more declared enemy----unless, of course, full scale war is their plan.

;

"Negotiations with Iran." Please. - My sides are aching.

What's next, Peter Pan?

In crackhead's world, yes, Peter is a distinct possibility. - O, the haze

Yes, this is necessary. - Israel is our ally.

Excerpt:

Obama vowed Tuesday during his State of the Union address to veto any such legislation. But Boehner signaled he wants Netanyahu to explain the stakes of the debate, as he pledged to press ahead with the legislation.

“Prime Minister Netanyahu is a great friend of our country, and this invitation carries with it our unwavering commitment to the security and well-being of his people,” Boehner said in a statement. “In this time of challenge, I am asking the prime minister to address Congress on the grave threats radical Islam and Iran pose to our security and way of life.”

Ally, schmally. Isreal is a terrorist nation, - no different from the rest.

[ In Reply To ..]
Except that they've got billions more of our money backing them.

You haven't the least idea what you're talking about. - nm

Nor do you, come to think of it. - LOL
[ In Reply To ..]

BO wants to give $11.9 billion to Iran. - But that's ok, right?

[ In Reply To ..]
It'll probably help fund more acts of terror.
Of course not. No more right than giving it - to ANY middle eastern country.

Are you kidding me? Detrimental to negotiations? (sm) - Abby

I can't believe I'm even reading this. First of all, I'm glad Boehner invited him to speak. Someone with some brains who is willing to protect his people. That's a novel idea, especially after these past 6 yeas from Hell. Who knows more about Iran than Bebe? I think he might even be able to make some Dems see the light (hard to believe, but he might), in which case Crackhead's veto threats might be for naught. He just might be overridden. Hell, if truth be told, I'm happy just that it pi$$ed Crackhead off. Thankful for small favors.

So glad your rationale response refers to the - POTUS as crackhead

[ In Reply To ..]
Good to know where we are starting from.

So, the negotiations with Iran are to help stabilize the situation in the Middle East. Negotiations are due to continue for several months. Boehner has tried to subvert those negotiations by using Netanyahu as a lobbyist.

Israel is out to protect itself at all costs and would be happy to wipe out any Muslim country that it can. Frankly, I think Israel would be happy to have us in a war in the Middle East to take the heat off of them.

This situation is far more complicated than you imply. You may want to keep sinking Billions into Israel. I don't.

Perhaps President Obama should ask Hassan Rouhani to the White House while Netanayahu is meeting with Congress.

The news is already talking about whether the President will meet with Netanyahu after Congress has invited him without White House consent.

Consent? LOL - Congress doesn't need his consent. - nm

[ In Reply To ..]
nm
Nor does POTUS need Congress for veto - and Executive Orders
[ In Reply To ..]
This is going to work well.

I hope President Obama sticks it to them at every opportunity he can. I hope he makes it really obvious just how unworkable the Republic Congress has become with their newly elected Tear Party members, so that EVERYONE knows exactly what we are dealing with in 2016. This will get easier and easier for Democrats.
AND, just in, POTUS will NOT meet with - Netanyahu...
[ In Reply To ..]

Reason:
The White House does not meet with candidates with impending elections, so as not to show favoritism or influence in foreign elections.

He is just being his usual spoiled brat, lying self. (sm) - Funny
[ In Reply To ..]
all the while claiming Israel is is friend, and then ignoring him again. Poor widdoo king, won't meet him for din-din.
This is true. - nm
[ In Reply To ..]
.
Yabut, maybe, just maybe Netanhayu will convince (sm) - Enough is enough
[ In Reply To ..]
enough House and Senate members that you can't negotiate with Iran that they will overturn his veto.

John Kerry says sanctions against Iran - will destroy negotiations

[ In Reply To ..]
All of these negotiation dates set up and Boehner thinks Congress NEEDS to hear from Netanyahu. What could Netanyahu have to say that we(the government) don't already know.

So what does Boehner want to happen. Sanctions and less negotiations. Less negotiations result in war--somewhere.

"Crackhead." Jeesh. Another thinly-veiled - bigoted remark. Have you no shame?

Crackhead is bigoted? Against who? Drug users? - sm

I don't think you people even know what bigot and racist mean. You just like to throw the terms around.

Bigotry
Bigotry is a state of mind where a person strongly and unfairly dislikes other people, ideas, etc. Some examples include personal beliefs, race, religion, national origin, gender, disability, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or other group characteristics.

have a tinge of remorse at defaming whichever target? Do they realize any societal damage by condoning this behavior, even if it is only the MT Stars board, because you know if it is done here, it is done at home, it is done with their relatives, it is done at church, it is done wherever they appear.

That is the crux of the situation. I can let it roll, but I really wonder how many are affected by it.

That's what keeps society and a higher level of thought process down...allowing this behavior and not calling it out.

I don't think it was grandstanding. - Mama Mia - sm

Watching political talk show and the subject came up as to why millions/billions of dollars are contributed to politicians. Jake Tapper on CNN was interviewing Bernie Sanders where Bernie Sanders took the opportunity to say his contributions did not come from big business or corporations and he was not planning on taking money from them.  Jake Tapper commented those contributions were not given for the "fun of it" and insinuated votes were being bought by these contributions.  Does an ...

Tax Breaks For Special Interests In Compromised BillDec 12, 2010
So, now the dems have added more to the pot. Dozens of tax breaks designed to help a wide variety of interests - students, teachers, energy companies and lots of others - are due to expire at the end of the year, and most of them have been tacked on to the White House/Republican tax-cut deal to help it get through Congress The final package, released late Thursday, would extend tax credits for producing ethanol and for hiring American Indians. It would maintain deductions for teachers who ...

who are troubled by the recent shift to the far right that the Republican party has taken? I strongly believe in fiscal responsibility, and the party used to represent this, but now it seems like it has been hijacked by extremists and that greed is the motivating force in the current Republican party, along with draconian far-right ideas that leave little room for those of us who are more moderate. I find it very troubling, and I'm considering switching my party affiliation to Independent. ...

Republicans Have No Hearts, Huh?Apr 30, 2010
Statistically speaking, overall, there are more indiviual republicans that give more to charity year after year than democrats. However, when a Democrat is in charge, they tend to raise taxes in way that will help increase the amount of funds they can give to charity. Which way is better and why?
