Don't know if Perry's behind it or not, but it's not implausible given that Cain appears to be a stronger candidate than Perry is, IMHO.

Perry is a democrat hiding as a republican. Perry was involved in Gore's campaign. Whenever Gore is involved in anything you know it is not anything good. They are all intertwined...Perry, Gore, Clinton, and who do we having hiding in the background....see link.

Okay... even though Emmanuel has denied having anything to do with this thing, what exactly would be the link here? That Emmanuel is the mayor of the city where the person who supposedly tipped off the press on behalf of Perry worked out of??? Are you kidding me???

And why are people looking to shoot the messenger here? They didn't settle sexual harassment cases years ago. Regardless of who is responsible for leaking this story, hasn't it ever occurred to anyone - Cain supporter or not - that the blame for all of this should be placed on Cain himself? Or maybe the liberals, the Perry camp, Obama (should I throw Gore and Clinton in there too?) have a time machine and went back to the 90s to set this all up. That must be it.

If you (supposedly) sexually harassed someone, settled the case (s), decide to run for president years later, and then can't come up with a consistent truthful explanation regarding it with 10 days' notice that this was coming... BLAME YOURSELF!

the irony that while some folks on this board are blaming the left for "lying" about this revelation about Cain, Cain himself is looking within his own party for the source of the leak, knowing that when the going gets tough, members of any party will eat their own first. To me, who leaked it is immaterial b/c the facts would have come out eventually. Unlike the Anita Hill/Clarence Thomas fiasco, these women actually filed charges and thus created a paper trail that anyone thoroughly vetting this candidate would probably picked up on.

And even through I'm reluctant to respond to an obvious troll post (like the others below too), I don't like being told I'm wrong(!!!) when I'm not, so here it goes... When I said "they," or "the messenger," I meant the media reporting the story or all liberals who supposedly leaked this story to the press... including Perry the supposed undercover Gore-loving liberal (despite the impressive execution rate). You mean to tell me that the media and every single liberal out there all settled sexual harassment cases??? Yeah... okay.

The only one who settled sexual harassment cases (and usually settling implies guilt) here is Cain. If he doesn't like the media coverage now, he can BLAME HIMSELF for either a) sexually harassing someone in the first place or b) not fighting it if he wasn't guilty or c) not staying out of the media spotlight by running for president or d) not answering truthfully when confronted even after being given a 10-day head start to come up with something. Period.

Yes, you can get banned from the Politics board, and if you say something - even in their own style - that they find offensive (especially if you come across as liberal), they will get huffy, report you, and you will be banned. I know a poster (who would use a consistent moniker) that this happened to. You'd think they would be banned for obvious trolling, but no... it doesn't work that way.

You're better off just ignoring them.
