Your false claim aligns perfectly with those expressed by Lamebaugh, but when it comes to cold, hard facts....not so much.

In an official position statement crafted in July 2010, the NAACP clearly states they have pivoted from their previous stance on direct payments of dollars-and-cents reparations toward compromise policies that would serve the greater good of the community at large:

"THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, despite many efforts to gain deserved reparations,
the NAACP at this time, without abandoning previous positions, supports investments in
environmental, educational, health, business, and training programs to attempt to allow
Blacks and the poor to recover from hundreds of years of exploitation including slavery,
post-slavery, and colonial style extractive economic exploitation;..."

They evidently took their lead from positions President Obama spelled out during his 2008 campaign:
