Bill signed for national mammal

Posted: May 10, 2016

We have people who can't pay their bills, people having to deal with being sick because they can't afford insurance, people going hungry, people struggling to find a job..... I could go on and on, but I saw this morning that Obama signed a bill to make the bison our national mammal. I couldn't care less if the national mammal was a blue rat with a pink bow on it's tail. I'm one of those struggling to pay bills, going hungry some days so my son can eat, and unable to afford insurance. It makes me nauseous to see something like this. My stomach is in knots now. Cry This country needs a huge change.

I'm surprised he didn't pick a mammal more to his likeness. - sm

Do not - R2

Do not belittle the lowly jackass, please.

Do presidents need experience for this - sort of thing - really?

Focus on jobs, jobs, jobs. Nobody gives a rat's a$$ about Obama's mammals.

We do need HUGE change from status quo politics. So happy majority of voters are waking up and realizing Trump and Sanders are the change we need. Hoping crooked Hillary gets indicted so we do not end up with the same political bullsheet that comes from a career politician.

Why are you blaming Obama? - sm

"On Thursday evening, two days after the House voted for designating the bison as the national mammal, the Senate also approved the bill."

Our tax dollars at work LOL - No wonder voters want CHANGE

The right blames him for everything. It's - what they do best - blame others.

You're flipping out because the US got a national mammal, a mammal that almost went extinct because white people wanted to eliminate Indians so they could create white jobs (steal native land), and many of those white jobs have now gone to technology, computers and offshore, while the population kept growing. People have always gone hungry, sick, can't find jobs, whether or not a bison is declared a national mammal or not. You need to think a bit more philosophically, grow some of your own food and get out of MT.

I suppose you know me personally - smh

[ In Reply To ..]
First of all, I do grow some of my own food. Veggies are not ripe here yet and won't be for about another month depending on our weather. Planting was late this spring. I freeze what I am able, but do not personally can anymore after seeing my aunt get her hand and part of her forearm blown off while doing so. I don't work outside the home anymore because of health issues and severe anxiety to the point that I was sitting in the floor with a breakdown and lost my last job outside the home. I couldn't afford the meds or doctor visits shortly before starting working at home. We won't even go into my Native American heritage, but there you have it... Obviously you know me and know what's best for me from where you sit. Thanks for the history lesson.

....and you are worried about bison? - nm

Not a bit worried about the bison. - smh
[ In Reply To ..]
Worried about how tax dollars are being spent and how our so-called government is signing bills on petty things when there are much bigger things that need addressed. Ignorance is prevalent. I can see that from the replies.
I don't get why you are blaming the president. - nm

Rich man's game - Jamie
[ In Reply To ..]
This is a rich man's game. I live in an area where funding was cut for some of the summer programs that would have helped keep kids fed and a place for them to go while parents work. Not saying I completely agree with OP, but there are better things to expend time on. I could have gone the rest of my life without knowing we had a national mammal and I would have been fine and dandy.
Then blame Congress not the president! - nm

So, according to you, MT is a white person's job? - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
What a ridiculous statement to make. Oh, by the way, my boss, herself a CMT, is black. The issue with MT isn't a "white" person's problem, it's a transcriptionist's problem.

Regarding Heated Debate Blow Over National DebtMar 07, 2010
I would like to lend a little perspective to the great debate below regarding national debt under Obama and Bush.  By October 2008, due to increases in domestic and foreign spending, the national debt had risen to $11.3 trillion, an increase of over 100% from the start of the year 2000 when the debt was $5.6 trillion.  This is an averge rise of 12.5% per year.  The debt was $12.3 on Feb 5, 2010 which would roughly represent one year under the Obama administration.  That wou ...
