LA has been given more than it's fair share of fed money - for infrastructure but the Democrats

Over 5 years of Bush’s administration, Louisiana has received far more money for Army Corps of Engineers (Obama pronounces it CORPS with the P) projects than any other state (maybe tied with Florida),about $1.9 billion and California was close, $1.4 billion.
That money was squandered by Democrat pet projects.
Louisiana got tons of federal money that could have easily been earmarked for flood control. I remember Mary Landrau going on TV and crying. But really, emotions aside, this will happen again.
The Dutch have built a good levee system since their flood in the 1950s. They even reinforced it after Katrina.
