Well, I guess the Republicans signed a budget deal rather than driving the economy down again. Apparently that gives a couple year reprieve. That and the fact that we are coming up on an election year probably bodes well for the market.

On the other hand, the Fed held back on an interest rate increase and the international markets, especially China, seem quite depressed. That probably bodes badly for the market.

The stock market is overinflated and at some point it will collapse. There will be a financial meltdown. The question is when. Then the democrats will blame the republicans and push socialism.

Yellen is keeping the interest rates because everyone is keeping a watchful eye on the world economy.

The banks are looking for good loan prospects, good credit, etc., because they are a bit "gun shy" after getting caught up in the Bush debacle of lack of regulation and crashing the economy. I think they are afraid of not getting bailed out again.
