Starbucks Stock in Freefall After CEO Disses Trump and Promises to Hire Refugees

Democrats and liberal media outlets shed major crocodile tears this past weekend after 109 of 325,000 foreign passengers were detained at US airports over the weekend.

This was very odd because Obama banned Iraqi refugees for six months in 2011 and Democrats said nothing.

On Monday Starbucks Corp CEO Howard Schultz announced that the company would hire 10,000 refugees over the next five years to ease the company’s conscience.

This announcement violates EEOC rules.

And several conservatives have vowed to boycott the liberal coffee company.

Now the Starbucks stock is in freefall since the announcement.

The final tally of passengers affected was closer to 800. How was Schultz's announcement of hiring 10,000 refugees over the next 5 years an EEOC violation? It sounds like a business plan to me. He can't say how he plans to expand and develop his company?

It’s against the law to hire someone based on their age, sex, skin color, or national origin.

So if Starbucks hires their planned 10,000 refugees instead of Americans, they could face a lawsuit.

the world, not just in the US. 8000 of the 10,000 have already been hired. Starbucks also is committed to hiring vets and their families in the U.S., as well as providing college tuition.

You must have a very different definition of "freefall" than I have. Certainly if you look at a small enough block of time, it makes for a very dramatic graph. But if you look deeper into the facts (something I know many conservatives are loathe, or perhaps ill-equipped, to do), the drop was a mere 1.22%. In fact, they're at the same spot they were at the beginning of the month.
Not really seeing what you're so excited about, but I'm glad that whatever it is brings you such joy.

I guess once I pointed out the very obvious flaw (effect *preceding* cause), the poster decided it was best (for their ego?) to remove all trace rather than simply say "Whoops, you're right".
