Nevada joins a multi-state coalition suing President Barack Obama’s executive action granting deportation relief to millions of undocumented immigrants. The total number of states represented was 26 as of Monday with Nevada’s participation.
The lead plaintiff is Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who filed the suit last month.
From Las Vegas Sun:
“Our immigration system is broken and clearly needs to be fixed,” said Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt, who vowed to fight the president’s executive action shortly after it was announced in November. “The solution must be a permanent, legal result that includes, not ignores, the other branches of government and their constitutional roles.”
Nevada Democrats issued a statement calling the suit “partisan, irresponsible and mean-spirited” and said it was “nothing more than a slap in the face to Nevada’s immigrant community.”

A slap in the face? I don't think so. We should not reward people for breaking the law. ICE, the border patrol, and law enforcement should be able to slap handcuffs on all illegal aliens and deport them as soon as possible, but the US president will now allow it. What a shame!
