I am THOROUGHLY DISGUSTED with the race-baiting hate-mongers on the left, who make hay (money, votes, influence) out of very isolated instances of police misconduct.

We have 800,000 or so sworn officers in this country. Figure conservatively that they have 4 significant citizen contacts per shift. That's 3,200,000 citizen contacts, of which only a very few have adverse implications.

America's police forces ARE NOT - and I repeat - ARE NOT RACIST. In fact, police departments across the board are probably LESS SEGREGATED THAN ANY OTHER SEGMENT OF SOCIETY.

American voters, you can figure this out for yourselves. The truth is transparently evident. Call the false "racist" slimeballs - who profit from their lies - exactly what they are. and send the slimeballs to the one place that they belong -the deepest pits of Hell.

WE WILL PROTECT AND DEFEND OUR POLICE. If this means civil war, let it begin. I know who will win, and who will lose.

I am on the RIGHT and am appalled by countless stories of police misconduct, abuse of authority (e.g., tasering innocent people who don't comply with the cop's demand "quickly enough;" SHOOTING people's innocent pet dogs [some gray-muzzled elderly dogs], some INSIDE THEIR OWN FENCE, then claiming the dog was a "threat;" SHOOTING and beating the you-know-what out of innocent citizens; forcing women jail detainees to strip naked inside their cell, etc.), brutality. These VICTIMS are white, black, brown, old, young, male, female -- all over the place.

Like you, I can't stand the professional race-baiters like Sharpton et al, but I don't paint all police officers with the broad brush that you do either. Nor do I naively assume that EVERY incident of abuse is racially motivated. Nor do I stereotype the victims as "all criminals, who MUST have done SOMETHING wrong or they wouldn't have an interaction with the police!"

Each case needs to be looked at individually, which is impossible to do with the broad brushing that you're doing.

COUNTLESS? Hardly. In fact, you do the math. America's police have at least 3 million citizen contacts per shift. Multiply that by a single week, and then tell me how many incidents of police misconduct occurred in any given week.

Then, work the percentage. Use a calculator because you'll have a whole bunch of decimal places with zeros in them to contend with - to the right of the decimal point.

...or do it by the month or by the year, however you like.

Even in the water filtered by the best technology known to man you can find 0.00008% contaminants, but you would hardly call the water contaminated, and if you called it "pure" no one would talk about a "broad brush."

Yet that is what is happening with regard to the police. A VERY small proportion of incidents is being allowed - with the consent and aid of people like you - to contaminate the reputation of hundreds of thousands of very decent people. People like me, incidentally.

I will say it again. America's police forces are the least segregated segment of American society with the possible exception of the military - and something else: More black men are shot by black police officers than by white officers.

working at the United States Justice Department warned top Obama political appointees and other Justice Department officials about the dangerous threats of New Black Panthers to kill police officers and other whites. I was one of those lawyers who delivered those warnings.

Our warnings came in the context of the Voting Rights Act case I and other lawyers brought against the New Black Panthers on behalf of the United States in 2009, a case the Obama administration ultimately abandoned. Both top DOJ officials, including now Labor Secretary Tom Perez, as well as rank and file employees in the Civil Rights Division, were warned but did not take the New Black Panther threat seriously or otherwise considered the organization to be a laughable joke.

Allies in the media echoed the narrative that the defendants in the voter intimidation case were harmless clowns.

Among the information presented to top officials was a video produced by the New Black Panthers entitled "Training Day." The video proposes killing police officers by ambush. I wrote about the video: Another New Black Panther posing in the above photo and kneeling with a shotgun is "Field Marshal" Najee Muhammad. As I wrote in my book Injustice: One of them was Panther “Field Marshal” Najee Muhammad, who is seen in a Panther video called “Training Day” in which he encourages blacks in DeKalb County, Georgia, to don ski masks, lie in wait behind shrubs, and kill police officers with AK-47s. Following that exhortation he mocks the hypothetical victims’ grieving widows.

Justice Department employees ridiculed the video and noted very few were in the video's audience, apparently oblivious of the role and power of social media to reach people not sitting in an auditorium.

Attorneys working on the voter intimidation case made an effort to broadly educate employees of the Civil Rights Division about the murderous rhetoric of the New Black Panthers. We planned a screening of a National Geographic special on the New Black Panthers where members could be heard threatening to kill white babies. We widely disseminated information about the screening in a Justice Department conference room. On a floor with nearly one hundred employees, exactly two DOJ employees showed up to watch the screening, and one of them was the paralegal on the case.

As we shall see, Obama allies in the media could also be counted on to ridicule the seriousness of the New Black Panther organization.

My son is a police officer in one of the most crime infested places in the US. I am very proud of him. He was in the military before joining DC Metro.
