Kennedy awards show

Posted: Dec 27, 2016

Why did Michelle Obama looked so ticked off toward the end of the Kennedy Awards show. It seemed to start with the Eagles and didn't stop the rest of the show.

Remember how she campaigned so hard for Hillary? - and Hillary lost?

[ In Reply To ..]
She can't quite shake the fact she and the president campaigned so hard to get Hillary elected and the voters rejected not just Hillary, but her and the president.

Just when Obama's were feeling all good and smug, sure Hillary would win because of their efforts, the voters said NO WAY are we going to accept crooked Hillary even if Michelle and Barack do.

Those thoughts keep racing through her mind.

She's also worried about - sm

BO's legacy or lack thereof, the fact that none of his promises panned out to help the American people, the fact that their hometown is the murder capital of the world, the fact that they have played the race card one too many times and people caught on, the fact that she can't mooch off the taxpayers after January 20th, etc., etc., etc. Yeah, she's sad and mad.

The hatred you spew is despicable. nm - Attacking her face? Really?

I was commenting on her mood, not her face. Looks like you're looking for any reason to gripe. Get over yourself.

Did Anyone Catch The Beck Show? Not His Usual ShowNov 13, 2009
If anyone didn't catch it, I'd encourage you to watch it this weekend.  It wasn't his usual show that everyone hates.  He had an audience (not sure if there were any white people, mostly African-American) and they were talking about issues and problems.  Most of them voted for Obama and they discussed issues going on.  It was very interesting. One guy showed Obama where he grew up in the Harlam and what it was like for him growing up.  It was just a very g ...

Fox's Kennedy - There Really Shouldn't Be Feb 19, 2015
Some funny/ironic statements: Kennedy - "If you have an agenda, you cannot be objective."   The definition of FOX news?? ______ And her guest, the motivational speaker,  "I am for the positive message... you do have to mix in unfortunately the facts with the really good stuff."  (So the facts are not what you are teaching to begin with, but some of them may be necessary?)    ______ AT:  Teaching at the University level is trickling down to our kids ...

the Soviets in 1984 to oust Ronald Reagan from the White House, right? You didn’t know that? Well, don’t feel so bad. Ted Kennedy's Secret Overtures To Soviet Union To PreventJun 11, 2017
Sen. Edward “Ted” Kennedy had “selfish political and ideological motives” when he made secret overtures to the Soviet Union’s spy agency during the Cold War to thwart then-President Ronald Reagan’s re-election, a Reagan biographer said in an interview with The Daily Signal. When they came to light years later, Kennedy’s secret contacts with the Russians through their KGB spy agency in the early 1980s didn’t cause nearly the tizzy that Russia’s alleged interference with this ...

This Day In History, Kennedy Press Secretary Misleads PressOct 20, 2015
press corps is told that President John F. Kennedy has a cold; in reality, he is holding secret meetings with advisors on the eve of ordering a blockade of Cuba. Kennedy was in Seattle and scheduled to attend the Seattle Century 21 World’s Fair when his press secretary announced that he had contracted an “upper respiratory infection.” The president then flew back to Washington, where he supposedly went to bed to recover from his cold. Four days earlier, Kennedy had seen photographic ...

Fascinating TV Show From 60sNov 09, 2009
Just happened to switch to a channel showing 60s version of a 'Boston Legal' type show.  Came in on the middle of the show but the plot was about a man who lost everything he had ever worked for because of an illness he could not pay for - no insurance or insuffienty insurance (not clear). Not only was he dying from the disease, he was crushed by the financial disaster his illness caused. What I was so struck by was the closing statement:  And remember this show w ...

Tickets To A ShowNov 16, 2009
OK, here is the deal.... I have a 20 y/o and a 13 y/o and the holidays are soon approaching.  I always get a family gift we can all enjoy; last year it was the Wii.  This year I thought it would be fun to get tickets to see a family show and Disney on Ice is way too young for my kids and some shows are over my 13 year old's head... so I am thinking Blue Man Group or Stomp.  Of course I live in a little podunk town in Iowa so my destigntions are limited... mainly to Omaha ...

Hoarders (the Show)Jan 02, 2010
Has anyone seen that show (Hoarders)?  It's one one of the DirecTV channels - Discovery or The Learning Channel or something like that.  Now, I admit that DH is a packrat and without me around, it would be a tad cluttered around here.  When he accumulates too much crap, I box it up, label it and put it in the attic.  If he doesn't miss it for several years, it goes in the garbage.  I thought we had a clutter problem.  Wrong.  They go into these peopl ...

Hillary Put On Quite A ShowJan 23, 2013
during her Benghazi testimony. Gotta luv her little show of outrage. TRANSCRIPT: SENATOR JOHNSON: Again, again we were mislead that there were supposedly protests and something then sprang out of that, an assault sprang out of that, and that was easily ascertained that that was not the fact, and the American people could've known that within days and they didn't know that. HILLARY CLINTON: With all due respect, the fact is we had 4 dead Americans. Was it because of a p ...

Anyone See That New TLC Show Extreme Couponing?Jan 05, 2011
I only saw one episode and am addicted. It's insane! For those of you who have not seen it, this show follows 4 people who are considered extreme couponers.  These people spend hours and hours finding and cutting out coupons to save money. It shows how many items they bought, what they bought, what their original bill would be, and how much they actually paid after their coupons. They have a system down, very organized almost to the point of OCD. They showed their stacks upon stacks of ...

Wonderful Nature ShowNov 16, 2011
Tonight I just finished watching "My Life As a Turkey" on Public Broadcasting.   Anyone who loves animals and nature would love this.  It is about a man who found and incubated wild turkey eggs, raised them and lived with them in the forrest for 1 1/2 years.  This was truly an inspirational film and so beautifully demonstrates the bond between man and the animal kingdom.   I would be interested to hear what others thought of this wonderful story.    T ...
