They're John Podesta's group, and a more biased group you will not find. They are also unofficially Bambi's favorite media peeps whom he trusts to get his message out. Apparently you frequent their website too.

Oh, of course he is.. lol.. Obama is SO threatened - by Beck, he wants to pee his pants!.nm

You made it quite clear, but some people routinely twist and turn things in an effort to bash either the poster or Obama.

I am not inside Glenn's mind but he's in A.A., and A.A. is a strick program of honestly. He's also very hyper which probably turns people off and that is due to his ADHD. I wasn't sure about the man at first but he's one of my favorites now. The fact that the gov't criticizes him and feels the need to pay so much attention to him ought to tell you something. If we were spewing garbage, they would simply ignore him. Think about it.

"This collection of footage was put together by watchdog group Media Matters."

Anyone can "put together" video bits and pieces and make anyone look outrageous.

I looked at some of their so-called "research". Out of 40 of them, at least 30 were against Fox, the commentators of different programs, even the news programs.

"Launched in May 2004, Media Matters for America put in place, for the first time, the means to systematically monitor a cross section of print, broadcast, cable, radio, and Internet media outlets for conservative misinformation — news or commentary that is not accurate, reliable, or credible and that forwards the conservative agenda — every day, in real time.

Using the website mediamatters.org as the principal vehicle for disseminating research and information, Media Matters posts rapid-response items as well as longer research and analytic reports documenting conservative misinformation throughout the media. Additionally, Media Matters works daily to notify activists, journalists, pundits, and the general public about instances of misinformation, providing them with the resources to rebut false claims and to take direct action against offending media institutions."

The above statements tell me that they are the height of liberalism and one site to take with a grain of salt.

As you know, Glenn Beck did research Van Jones and his outlook and what was found was definitely true. He was the first (I think) to air the tapes of ACORN and their hijinx (sp) Did this organization?  I didn't see them report anything on it. Of course, I only spent a few minutes on their site.

Frankly, one-sided news does not sit well with me, no matter who is doing the reporting. I do my own research and, I won't go into it now because I've stated it before, but to fanatically target one news group is unjust to say the least.

My above statement also goes for certain posters on this board as well. Research is the answer and links to back up that research, not attacking posters. 'nuff said.

groups dedicated to pointing out misinformation. Because an organization has an identified political ideology does not therefore mean they are untruthful. If the organization can present documentation of the issue, I tend to believe them. I've heard all your excuses about editing, ACORN, blah, blah, blah and in my eyes your opinions are less valuable because you are simply parroting what the extremists tell you. If you actually did research you would ACORN to be much ado about nothing. All this pumping up of trivia and at the same time devaluing the peace prize, UN, global warming and ACLU points to inability to evaluate and synthesize information.

My opinions are my opinions. If you don't agree - Backwards Typist

[ In Reply To ..]
don't read them, then. It doesn't make them any less valuable to me.

I certainly don't close my eyes to anything that goes on in this country. If I hear or see something, I look for information to back it up.

ACORN has done some good for some people, but...and it's a very large but...their shenanigans and the video proof have shown that they work their way around the law every chance they get. Voter fraud first came to my mind before the past election when they were signing up all these people.

As for global warming, it may be true, but there really is no REAL scientific evidence yet. There are warm and cold periods in this world. Are you going to say that we are going into an ice age now that the winter has hit early? I won't. It happens to be a cycle that happens every decade or so.

ACLU: They have become a group of sue-happy legalists and too many schools and local governments are afraid they will be next. They need to get back to basics where they USED to help individuals, not nitpick every little thing that happens in this country.

I think you should do some research. You might learn something, too.

"...they work their way around the law every chance they get." Hyperbole. Untrue. Arguments like this weaken your case.

ACORN and any other group that does voter registration drives is required by law to turn in ALL the names, even those they know are incorrect. So, if someone signs "Donald Duck" that has to go in. ACORN investigates the signatures and passes the info along, but it still has to turn all the names in.

A little research should have turned this up.

ACORN is a fraud. Look what happened in Nevada, as well as in other states. As far as the constitution, obama bin lying could care less about it, as he does not believe in it. PERIOD.

just HATE it when serious charges against repubs are contrasted against puffed-up charges of dems. Can never come back with a satisfactory response other than "quit living in the past." Your "Acorn is a fraud" is meaningless with nothing to back it up with. Your puerile disrespect of the president is just moronish.
So, 27 states investigating ACORN means nothing? - Backwards Typist

I must have missed Glenn Beck's turning six months ago, but saw this current interview on CNN this weekend.  The second part is next weekend. I'm curious as to whether anyone has any thoughts on his realizations. Genuine or fiction?  Is he the beginning of realization of the Fox News indoctrination and damage?  He says he regrets the time he spent on Fox and basically apologizes for the damage done.  (I claim this as a realization for Fox because I feel he was a p ...
