Geesh. I live Oregon and we vote in the comfort - of our family room or kitchen table.

We get our ballots in the mail around October 19th (I already voted). Election day, November 6th is just merely the last day to get our ballots in. I just drive a quarter mile down the road and drop off my ballot at an official vote colored white and orange drop box (looks like those blue mailboxes). It is super easy to vote in Oregon. I love it. Oh.... the whole state of Oregon also has gas attendants who pump our gas. It is forbidden to pump your own gas. I practically forgot how to pump gas. Hahaha.

We have mail too. In one of the most conservative counties in Georgia, - I prefer to personally deliver my vote.sm

Given our subscriptions, the local post office has us pegged. Just being careful. Plus, there's something really nice in joining others to vote. That line was a very pleasant place to be, a little party of citizens come together on a pretty morning, but just a surprise because of its length.

I used to live in Oregon, and that pumping gas thing drove me crazy. It was VERY nice when it was snowing, but otherwise you have to wait around for someone to come to your pump? Maddening!

I live very near Oregon (used to live in it too) and personally I love when they pump the gas, but I'm very lazy:) I don't mind the wait compared with the much lower gas prices (60 cents cheaper than my area right now since we're at 4.59 a gallon).

All are self-serve here except one that I know of and you pay $.10 a gallon more for that privilege. Of course, they wash your windows. They also check your oil if you want them to do that. (Sigh)the good ole days. LOL

Wish it was illegal to pump your own gas here, but then again, what price would you pay for that privilege? Is your price per gallon higher than other states around you or about the same?
