I watched this last night on television and it was quite an eye opener. Seeing both Trump and Hillary in their formative years and seeing what makes each of them today - neither one had the start in life that everyone deserves. And what path each chose - it explains alot. It didn't make me like either one of them any better, but since they are what we are left with, I can only hope that the one who is elected can rise above what their past has been.

I don't understand how you can say that neither of them had the start in life that everyone deserves. Donald Trump grew up in a wealthy family, the comment was even made that the chauffeur drove him around on his paper route if it rained, he'd made millions in real estate by the time he was 30. It sounded to me as if he was his dad's favorite although his brother had a really difficult time because he marched to a different drummer. Hillary was a very high achiever and attended Wellesley College, a very prestigious women's university. She was valedictorian of her graduating class and made the cover of Time in her 20s and attended Yale law school. Her parents had problems but I would say she turned out okay. My goodness, what kind of life do you think they deserved? I think you and I watched different PBS shows.

Hillary came from a wealthy family too. She found - Saul Alinsky and turned left.

I have heard of those things, they were choices Hillary made, probably had nothing to do with her formative years. Did you ever hear of Donald Trump going bankrupt twice and getting the banks to bail him out? Also poor management and arrogance that probably had nothing to do with his formative years.

They didn't have a nurturing home growing up. They had what they needed because of money - education, opportunity, etc. But I didn't see a lot of love, acceptance, kindness. Trump's father was a real piece of work. Also, Hillary was presented as someone who had ambition and a "whatever it takes" attitude to get where she wanted to be. Trump seems to desperately, even at this stage in his life, need to hear it over and over that he is great......both appear to me to have something lacking in character.

If you haven't seen it - I'd suggest watching it. This first 4 years is just Obama readying for his reelection (which hopefully won't happen). Just heard prediction there could be as many as 21 Republican candidates. I wonder how bad they are going to tear into one another.
