A message to ALL of us: Learn to distinguish between

NEWS is about something that HAS HAPPENED.
GOSSIP is about something that MIGHT happen, SHOULD happen, SHOULD NOT happen, COULD happen, etc.
I tuned into 3 different so-called "news channels" this morning, including CNN, ABC and Fox. ALL OF THEM WERE GOSSIPING. We had so-called experts telling us what Trump SHOULD say in his speech tonight, what the next "refugee ban" MIGHT look like, etc.
If the American people cannot distinguish between GOSSIP and HARD NEWS, we are trulyl doomed.
The next time you tune into a "news" channel, just notice HOW MUCH OF IT IS SHEER GOSSIP, SPECULATION, ETC.
The problem we have is 24-hour news channels that don't have more than about 20 minutes of ACTUAL NEWS TO REPORT. THEY FILL THE REST OF THE TIME WITH GOSSIP, AND YOU SHOULD NOT BUY ANY OF IT.

You have to SPEND MONEY to put resources on the ground to dig out the facts. 24-hour channels masquerade as "news" by hauling up a familiar tired old parade of "experts" who are broadcasting by Skype from their apartments in Queens or wherever, and pass this off as "news".
News is hard. Gossip is easy. And the American people don't recognize the difference.

When they are stating things as facts and proving they are facts I take it as news or facts. Now when the president states factually-proven lies, I take those as lies and he does that quite often.

23 hours 45 minutes of every broadcast day on the 24x7 cable news - is just gossip.

That Rachel Maddow is really hard to listen to and her compadre with the big glasses (can't remember his name) reminds me of Chicken Little in the cartoon movie that came out about 8-10 years go. I can't take that guy seriously at all! He will put on others too and all of them seem to just push their opinions onto their listeners like facts! Really hard to muddle through it, so I don't try. I read and watch regular news sometimes and form my own opinions!!
