Last week Wanda Sykes got booed off the stage for dissing Trump. Sunday night Gigi Hadid attempted and failed at her impression of Melania Trump and now issues an apology. The cast of Hamilton disrespected our VP-elect and cheapened themselves in the process. Mr. Pence showed grace. How many others have to act out before they realize that they just are not funny or cute? We used to be a nation of respect and laws. Can you just imagine if these things had been done to the Obamas? I would bet we would see a race war like no other because, of course, it would be all about race (the lib fallback excuse for anything they don't like). Whoopi, Cher, Miley and a handful of others have threatened to leave the US. Well, a lot of Americans have called their bluff. We're waiting, ladies. Don't let the door hit you...;

they shouldn't have jumped in the fire. Nobody should apologize for good humor fun and every single president and their family has been made fun of on late night TV shows, etc. I suggest the trumps get over it and get used to it.

If you refuse to admit that the left continues to have a major meltdown because they didn't get their way then you are no different. There are daily death threats to Mr. Trump and his families as well as his supporters. Do you find humor in that?

No this has nothing to do with violence and death threats...it has to do with poking a little fun at the new first family...you all want to make more out of it than it really is...go ahead.

No one on the left thought jokes about him was humorous. They jumped all over the media and the commedians for making jokes. It wasn't allowed by anyone even though it was still done.

Now, they are making fun of Trump. Okay. It's NOT in humor. It's being done in hate for him. If it was funny, they wouldn't have all the insults. Remember Sarah Palin and the remakr that "I can see Russia from my house" which was done on SNL by Tina Fey...Sarah never said it but the lefties were quick to use that line in hate-filled posts for her.

So, no. The Trump jokes are not funny. They are full of hate. The threats are not funny either, especially the one I posted yesterday. That's scary.

I honestly don't care how much you want to "poke" fun of President-Elect Trump and his family. What I do care about is you seem to think that the very real death threats they've received are part of this lighthearted fun. I think that one of the most startling truths that has been uncovered with this election is just how depraved individuals can be if they are perfectly okay with death threats or enactments of school assassination of our newest President.

Yes, there really is one. "Poor taste" doesn't quite cover it. Being in the public eye comes with many privileges but also many negatives, and that is one of things people consider before they put themselves and their families out there for that kind of attention and abuse. Being criticized, made fun of, etc. has ALWAYS been part of the political process. Check out political cartoons from the 1800s on. Everything is fair game and politicians know it, so no whining allowed.

Of course anyone in the public eye, especially politicians, should expect - anon

to be made fun of, ridiculed, etc. Yes they also should take it all in stride and not dwell on it. I think the point is, celebs seem to believe that their opinions matter or that anyone really cares if they stay or leave. It's that sense of inordinate importance that they place on themselves that is distasteful. I voted Trump and support Trump, but I can laugh at some of what's out there. Alec Baldwin does a dead on hilarious impersonation of Trump but that doesn't mean I don't support our newest president.
