More fallout as we learn more

Father of former Navy SEAL killed in Benghazi said meeting President and Sec. of State: "Shaking Hands With Obama ‘Like Shaking Hands With Dead Fish’…. Hillary Clinton 'Did Not Appear To Be One Bit Sincere At All.' I won't discount this man's assessment of the meeting. He deserves to be treated with respect. He lost his son in service to our country. http://therightnewz.com/?p=12573;

Heartless is ignoring grieving families' repeated wishes to - STOP making this a campaign issue

and wait for the investigation to conclude. For that reason, I have zero interest in your Fox video. Now, show me where I said anything about Mr. Woods in my previous comment, which was directed at the notion that, in your estimation, his words amount to "more fallout." That is not a phrase I associate with compassion for a grieving father, but it is one I would expect to hear from Fox as a lead-in to the report. I am taking issue with the relentless nature of their insensitivity toward these families who on numerous occasions have asked that the politicization of their losses CEASE. Exploiting this man's grief is nothing less than absolutely detestable. Are we clear here?
Heartless is having the President of the USA lie to - those relatives to protect his campaign !!! nm

We all know there is not a single fact - to back up this speculation.
[ In Reply To ..]
But hey, don't let that stop ya from ignoring multiple requests from various family members who are forced to deal with this unwelcome intrusion into their efforts to deal with grieving their loss.....and for what? A pathetic display from hateful partisans refusing to honor their wishes for the sake of a truly obscene campaign sham in an effort to scrape together a couple of votes for a candidate who cannot win on the merits of his own policies and record.

Anyone who has ever lost a loved one should have the good sense and decency to recognize how painful this exploitation is for those people. Those bent on perpetuating this stupidity should be ashamed of themselves. It's downright cruel.
Wrong!! There is now a PAPER TRAIL, and Obama - lied once he did have that information... shame on

No, what you have are snippets that resemble what - come out of the paper shredder.
[ In Reply To ..]
Incomplete info, being manipulated by Darrel Issa, Flox, Rush, Glen, etc....all avowed hyperpartisan arch enemies of the president. I'm with the families on this. Official investigations (FBI and independent included) results come first. Conclusions second. Sorry they won't be ready in time for the election. That's just the way the cookie crumbles. Better luck next time.

BTW, where's the outrage about all the leaking on national security issues that failed to redact the names of folks in Libya whose lives have been put in danger over this witch hunt?
Denial.. why? Emails coming from Libya in real time - Its hard to admit O lied, I know. nm

There's nothing to admit here. The group initially claimed responsibility, then denied it two hours later. Both their statements are considered to be neither true nor false, and are being investigated.
Mother of ex-Navy Seal Glen Doherty didn't appreciate - Mitt's exploitation either.
[ In Reply To ..]
Barbara Doherty: "I don’t trust Romney. He shouldn’t make my son’s death part of his political agenda. It’s wrong to use these brave young men, who wanted freedom for all, to degrade Obama."

Here's how the name-dropping candidate told his story of how he met Glen: "He came from Massachusetts, where I’d been governor, had family there. He also had skied in some of the places that I had found during the Winter Olympics in Utah. And we had a nice chat together."

However, that version does not jive with how Elf Ellefsen, Glen's friend of more than 20 years, says Glen remembered his encounter with Romney. Romney kept approaching Glen and reintroducing himself to him over and over again: "He said it was very comical. Mitt Romney approached him ultimately FOUR times, using this private gathering as a political venture to further his image. He kept introducing himself as Mitt Romney, as a political figure. The same introduction, the same opening line. Glen believed it to be very insincere and stale."

If anyone behaved that strangely toward me, I definitely be creeped out but, then again, I don't look much like a Navy Seal in uniform.

What? Do you have any idea - how outrageous you sound?
[ In Reply To ..]
This issue is becoming pathologic. Wingers make an obscene spectacle of themselves in their desperate rush to judgment, then turn around and blame a grieving victim's family member for daring to speak up....then dismiss it outright because she happens to be a democrat? Simultaneously, we are being told how insensitive and heartless we are being toward Mr. Woods in his interview with winger media. Are you really trying to float that turd blossom?

The only thing you are sad about is the publication of family members' dismay over the callous way their pleas are being ignored by the Flox flocks. What say you on Glen's BFF's account on the strange behavior the name-dropping candidate displayed at their meeting? That was the candidate, not the booze, that was talking, Mitt being a teatotaler and all. I say he's a consummate poseur, both socially and politiucally.
As I see it, it's a no-win situation. You are blaming - Truthhurts
[ In Reply To ..]
a poster for being heartless because they posted something about Mr. Woods publicizing how he felt about Obama, then turn around and give a pass to another poster because another family publicizes their disdain at Romney.

Neither argument holds water since the parents had decided to speak out. They need to be allowed to grieve in their own fashion and if speaking out is the way they decide to do it, then so be it.

It's not for you or anyone else to decide who should or should not speak up or politicize the horrendous murders of our citizens.
Not so. My comments are directed at the entire - witch hunt collective mindset which,
[ In Reply To ..]
seems completely oblivious to the families' repeated and very public pleas to stop the exploitation, not at the individual poster. I agree 100% that these family members, REGARDLESS OF THEIR POLITICAL AFFILIATION, have a right to speak out. Specifically, that includes Mr Woods. I am making no judgments about the content of his comments one way or the other because I totally understand the different ways grief manifests itself. By all means, if it helps him somehow to do this, he should continue for as long as he needs to.

My problem is with what right wing media, the so-called oversight committee and rabid hate-mongering partisans are trying to do with it. The hypocrisy is absolutely stunning, ESPECIALLY with all the reckless premature release of information that included the names people in Libya whose lives are now threatened by the identity exposure. So much for confidentiality of national security information. All bets are off with that now that the wingers smell some kind advantage they can seize.

BTW, I have every bit as much right as the next person to comment on the outrage I feel over this relentless and callous smear campaign, especially on this forum where it's thrown up in our faces every couple of hours.
You don't think the families have a right to allow - Truthhurts

broadcasts of how they feel?

I think when the families themselves call a radio show or go on TV, they are giving approval for their words to be broadcast to the rest of the country. If those families did not want to air their comments, they shouldn't have done it.

It's not the republican nominee or the democratic nominee making an issue of this. It's radio and TV personalities and the families could have told them NOT to broadcast their feelings and those people would have had to abide by it or be sued - but it still comes down to the families themselves taken the initiative.

Do you see the point I'm making?

The coverup was obvious... and why... to protect - Obama since "Bin Laden is dead"

[ In Reply To ..]
and all of Al Qaeda.... hooray. THAT is what Obama wants us to believe. Knowing that these relatives have been treated so lousy only makes it worse. I am so ashamed of the Obama administration.. lies, lies, and more lies.. disgusting.

Here's what blows my mind - about this...

[ In Reply To ..]
You're right, the cover up is obvious, as are the reasons for the cover up. What blows my mind is the hypocrisy of those that say this isn't a big deal and there's no cover up - if this had happened under Bush's watch and he had handled things similarly, there would already be calls to impeach him. Why bother to find the truth - Obama will just get a pass anyway... agreed - disgusting.
There were constant scandals like this - Fanatical Hypocrite
[ In Reply To ..]
during the Bush administration. For Bush those would include Valerie Plame, Dennis Hastert, Cheney shooting a man, the suspension of Habeas Corpus, two wars, an economic collapse, the failure of security before and on 9/11, the lack of WMDs, warrantless wiretapping, and the list goes on.

Clinton too. He bombed an aspirin factory, couldn't keep his cigar in his pants, got us into Yugoslavia, and many more.

So, what has Obama done so far? He failed to predict a future security need at a specific embassy on the anniversary of 9/11 after an outrageous anti-Muslim film had been made (a time when all embassies, military bases and humanitarian centers were calling for more security), then his administration couldn't figure out what happened (like that should be a surprise to anyone considering the chaos in the region) and not wanting to look stupid they covered up their temporary confusion.

It's sad that the military, state department and executive branch failed to discern the magnitude of the threat in time. It's doubly sad that they tried to make themselves look better by covering up their rather common failure. Finally, the saddest thing of all is that 4 more people's lives were lost supporting yet another pointless war in a region full of pointless wars and that nothing Obama, Romney or anyone does will give these people back to their families.

I'm not saying they shouldn't investigate this. Something may well be learned about how to protect against this in the future and it never hurts to keep an eye on the administration. Yet playing the blame game won't resurrect these people, won't help their families, won't make Romney more appealing and the faceless, nameless people who are truly responsible for this act have likely been killed or blended back into their society.

If any president is tasked with protecting every American in the whole world individually, they will fail.
LIke I said... - he gets a pass. Sad. (nm)

Then there's this - Biden steps in it

Woods said Biden came over to his family and asked in a “loud and boisterous” voice, “Did your son always have balls the size of cue balls?”

“Are these the words of someone who is sorry?” said Woods.

Since Biden was so loud, there had to be witnesses to this outrageous behavior.

And one of the best responses to the utter filth that Joe "potty mouth" Biden said was someone wrote - "OMG - This is who you support?????"

Tsk, Tsk. Comprehension problems, Sarge? It's only two little words. - BIDEN audio.
[ In Reply To ..]
I had no difficulty dredging up winger sites where the whisper campaign was taking root. I not asking about a link to articles, comments sections, broadcast videos of the interview with the dad, blogs, opinions, or any other such tools used to say it over and over again so it looks more credible.

I will not speculate about what Mr. Woods said in his interview or why, unless and until proof positive is provided. No, his simply stating that it did is not proof.

That would entail linking to either a video recording of the meeting or an audio recording of the exchange where Vice President is clearly identifiable as having said these things. Absent that, the claim has less than zero credibility. Joe Biden would never have said such a thing, and why Mr. Woods is claiming he did is of no interest to me.

Now. Where's that BIDEN (a) audio, or (b) video?

You are PLAYING YOURSELVES FOR FOOLS. This is a PHONY issue - you're told is a scandal. It is not.

[ In Reply To ..]
It is a distraction from what are important issues.

Those of us who want to be good citizens need to START by identifying real issues for ourselves. Anyone who doesn't fancy being used by handlers as an attack dog should be on the alert, because that's the role this sort of thing is designed to seduce us into taking on.

The real story of what happened here is far more complimentary to America and reassuringly competent. America is NOT the gang that can never shoot straight because it's too busy goofing up and lying about it. The real story is being reported by reputable publications every day as more detail is known and more experts step forward to try to offset the lies with understanding.

Good post. - Thanks. nm
