small business that it's hard to navigate. Add to that taxes and you can't hire employees or grow, thus you have an opportunity problem. Too many road blocks. That's what's hurting the middle class. Throw in all the millions of government employees with their pension we have to pay for, plus the millions of illegals we have to pay for.

To raise the minimum wage means the price of goods and services will increase. We never learn from history.

in order to avoid panic plus they keep the interest rates low. It can't last. That's when the pitchforks will start to come out.

The middle class is shrinking, but it's the result of government rules and regulations and BIG business in bed with Washington. Both parties or Uniparty as it's called. Actually, it's global.

The government is owned by Wall St. and - the uber-rich, which is the problem.

as govt spending becomes more. Raising the minimum wage does nothing in the long term. You don't have to be an economist to figure this out. We're like Greece.

If an employer can't afford to pay minimum - wage, they cant afford employees period.

If more of the former middle class made minimum wage and could make ends meet, more of them could afford that employer's products/services. That in turn would net the employer more money in the long run. Unfortunately, they don't look any further down the road than next week, next month. It's called being shortsighted.

I suggest reading Thomas Sowell and "The Trickle Down - Lie" or Walter Williams.

Trickle down term has been around for a long time. When used by the government it goes like this...The milk analogy of communism and our current government:

Government confiscates the milk from the middle class, skims the cream off for themselves and their wealthy friends, and gives some milk to the dogs to keep the cows in line.

What Reagan said was a rising tide lifts all boats, his way of explaining supply side economics.
