74% of small businsses will fire workers under Obamacare

I've been reading a lot about this. Full time workers will be fired or hours cut thanks to Obamacare.

been getting rid of full time workers for years in order to avoid providing insurance. Businesses have been shipping jobs overseas for years, which is hurting our economy severely since nobody is working. Businesses have been using illegal workers for years for the cheap labor. Oil companies have been ripping us off for years, which they always seem to justify. Finding some excuse to get rid of workers is common for businesses. That way they make more money and increase the gap between the haves and have nots. This is just a new excuse.

Don't confuse small businesses with what you are talking about. Small businesses already get a more disproportionate tax and insurance burden than everyone else. Federally, the matching social security tax phases out at $113,700, our worker's compensation insurance phases out at $27,000 and our unemployment insurance phases out at 25,000 per employee. That means if we have a dozen employees that work for $13.00 per hour, we're paying the same insurance burden as a company that has a dozen employees that work for $60.00 per hour. If we have a dozen employees who work for $60.00 per hour, we have the same tax and insurance burden of a company that has a dozen employees who work for $200.00 per hour. Then there are the numerous deductions that larger businesses get in terms of depreciation allowance that can bring their federal tax burdens down to zero just for purchasing brand new equipment every year. Those are the businesses that you need to have issue with. I'm afraid when there's no more money, there's no more money. That's what our government needs to realize. If I could offer my employees benefits, I most certainly would, but the government then has to step forward and support small business lending which they are sincerely lacking in.

You say you read a lot about this? WHAT on earth are you reading? GIGO, Mrs. Tingles. You should not be spreading these lies.

Read this one again: That is 2/10 of 1% of genuinely small businesses who will be required to provide health insurance to their employees.

96% of American business have fewer than 50 employees, so are totally unaffected.

Of the 4% remaining with 50 or more employees, 96% ALREADY insure their employees. That leaves 0.2% who will do the math on paying a $3K per employee penalty and decide whether they'll still make money off them or not.

These figures apply to REAL small businesses, not tax dodges set up for billionaires to sock money into to qualify for small-business subsidies and tax breaks.
