picture cakes

Has anyone gotten one of those picture cakes made? I am assuming you get your picture back intact, but I thought I'd ask around first. I don't want to have a favorite picture ruined! Thanks!

I did it for both my daughters graduations, grandsons first birthday, sisters 40th, husbands 30th...

Yes, you get your picture back and not ruined either. Just ask where you are taking it. The place I go does such wonderful work.

Yes, you get your picture back. They usually put it in a baggie and tape it to the top of the plastic cover of the cake. It does cost about an extra $5. It comes out beautiful and you will get compliments!

via computer once. Never ordered afterwards, it doesn't feel good when you use knife over faces of your loved ones.

into a loved one, unless you get a cake of your ex and slash the heck out of it at a happy divorce party! I make cakes and some people ask about if I feel bad cutting into Mickey Mouse, etc. It has never bothered me but I have seen on TV on the FoodNetwork when they have made cakes that look like someone's dog and that is pretty creepy.

Just looking for places where we have to show our picture ID in order to obtain something. I live in a small community where we chat with the precinct workers about things like "how is your grandma doing since she had surgery" or "the football team is starting out pretty good this year, aren't they" and yet they require me to hand them my picture ID when I vote.
