This crazy little cat around my home. I

I have inside cats of my own. This little boy has been coming around for some months and I have fed him, no problem there. The issue is he has an eye infection, took him the vet, asked for an injection, vet thought possible I could instill medicine in his eyes 2x a day. Got back home, kitty ran off for about a week. The medication ordered was Terramycin. Am trying to find out if anyone has had a cat with eye issue that could use something other than twice a day eye ointment, something that might help this little boy. Thanks. ;

back to eat? I don't have any advice to offer, I don't know a lot about medicine when it comes to animals. I probably would have asked the vet about an injection since he's so frisky.

I got an injection for my cat with an eye infection and drops. The injection worked, but the cat won't let me put the drops in. I try, but she just moves her head right when the drop is ready to hit the eye. If you can catch him again try to get an injection. Cats just don't want you doing that to them and this cat is very sweet and rolls and rubs all over me but she won't let me put the drops in.

OP- I specifically asked the vet for a shot instead - of drops, told no, try drops

I gave the vet a look of "yeah, right" when he said I could use the drops. I knew from the get go this cat would not allow that. I guess he thought by how Taffy was acting when he was there that he would be the same when I got back. That cat immediately sprinted from the carrier after the vet visit and did not see for about a week. IF my own indoor cat would be able to do, not for a somewhat almost stray cat that is not around but perhaps once a day at feeding time.

That deals with ferals? They'd have experience treating cats like that who live outside and can keep him contained maybe until the treatment is over and the infection has cleared up. The ones in my area will usually treat them, give them shots and spay/neuter. If it's someone's pet, and possibly has a microchip, it still needs to be treated since it's gotten this bad and they'll talk to the owners about options. Good luck.

of course would love for him to have a home but need to see about getting him some care regarding his eyes, would hate to see him go blind due to lack of medicine. I told them while he was treated have no trouble buying his food and also getting his medicine. He needs to be in a place where not roaming on the streets. I cannot treat him once a day much less 2x a day. He came by tonight and was extremely friendly, ate quite a bit and then sit right in front of the door for a long time. I hope my helping out animals in the past perhaps might be repaid a little now, that would be super nice for him.

We have an older neighbor (probably in his mid to late 70s.). He has a leaf blower and boy is it loud.
