A community of 30,000 US Transcriptionist serving Medical Transcription Industry
I'm wondering if anyone out there can give me an idea of something. I work for a hospital. I've been there about a year and a half, and I get new doctors almost every day (we have literally thousands of doctors working for this group of hospitals). I recently learned that many of the other transcriptionists get the same docs all the time. This is making me extremely frustrated because I can never get my line count up because I'm constantly trying to learn new docs, their accents, their mumblings/ramblings, looking up sample reports, and it's extremely frustrating just because I spend so much time trying to understand new docs every day. I'm wondering what online companies are like. Could anybody out there give me an idea of what it's like to work for online companies? Do you get different docs all the time, or do they give you the same docs? This is an intensely frustrating situation for me and, frankly, it's driving me crazy -- I'm about ready to quit because I can't do it any more. I'd really appreciate some insight from those who work for online companies and what's it's like. Thank you!
