because he had cataracts, gone blind and now he is able to run around like when he was a young doggie. I will wait awhile about the extra dirt. It has been raining here for the last 2 to 3 days. Bless our little animals hearts, don't we love them?
I was on Facetime with her as Batman was dying. I told her to hold him in her arms, tell him she loves him and pet him. I asked did she want me to come over and she said no. She was beside herself. A friend's husband came, dug the grave and Batman was buried last night. I went out this morning trying to find what I thought I needed to help with his burial, called her and found out this happened last night. I went to Lowe's trying to get something to cut down perhaps on the odor that might be put out so bought some lime and then the lava rock. I do not know if a mound was made. I guess I could buy some more dirt today in order to make the mound rounded.
His death was extremely fast in onset. She said she noticed something 2 days before, thought perhaps he had a stroke or heart attack but could not give any symptoms she noticed, just something different with him. She worked yesterday, went home and first checked on him. She thought perhaps he died while she was gone. She then called me to tell me she thought he was dying. She had tried to offer a little food on a finger for him in his mouth, no to that and he did drink a little water on his tongue. Batman got up when we were talking and staggering around, falling over. I saw his look as she lay him back down and I thought she was right, he was dying and then that is when she put him in her arms with her holding him when he took his last breath. I told her she did the best thing for him in the end and she was there for him. I said, like adults who can will a little longer waiting for someone to arrive before they let go, perhaps Batman did the same with his mother. Sad today.
