LADIES

Posted: Mar 1, 2010

So, I was watching a television show.  I guess it's become the new "thing" for older women to prey on younger men, and the younger men to look for "cougars".

Wondering, how young would you go?  One of the women on the show was 54 (she looked really good, but had a lot of work done...) and regularly dated men in their 20s!  That to me is way to young.  My feeling is, if you're old enough to be a mom or grandmother, best to stick to your age "box".   I mean really, what does he tell his friends when they are out on a date or at a party and vice versa???

I don't think it would be a big thing if she's stay, say within 10 years plus or minus, but for an older woman, 20's is just WRONG!

Just me ? or do you agree?Undecided

;

these young boys are just looking for security, homeowner, car, steady income, - that these women have.

As a woman in her 50s I think that's horrible! I believe in the old "look but don't touch" philosophy. I guess like the other poster said, they are looking for a free ride. Maybe this is the generation of acceptable prostitution.

I pity the foolish old women who are looking for love knowing that they're always going to have to pay a price for it. Men too for that matter. (Hugh Heffner comes to mind...) Pathetic.

I guess I agree with, stay in your box age range. I'd be scared to go much younger 'cause I know I'd look the fool!

No difference to me than an older man dating someone who - could be his daughter. NM

He kept saying things like, "I need a good woman in my life, I'm a single dad." "Are you really able to run your household by yourself?" "Do you feel like you are a good mother?" Etc. Which to me indicated that he is looking for a mother for his child, and would want to move in or marry someone quickly just for the stability, not for love.

My husband and I started dating when I was 36 and he was 24. We dated for 4 years. We've been married almost 10 years and I'm almost 50. This is my second marriage. My first husband was 11 months older than me. He was abusive and a total jerk.

I couldn't be happier. My husband is such a kind, caring man. He has helped raise my son who is now 29 (I know, he's closer in age to my husband than I am). Matter of fact, my husband used to see my son playing baseball in our yard when he was a kid and wanted to stop and play too! Scary, huh? I wouldn't change a thing. If I would have put myself in the so-called age box, I would have missed out on a great guy. I will admit, I do take some ribbing from our friends about it though!

I'm with you! I am 9 years older than my husband. We dated for about 3 weeks and knew we really liked each other before we asked about age. He also knew my kids before I knew him (not as a friend, just a situation. my kids kept pushing for us to date!).

We have been married for 14 years. My kids love him and so do I. He and I never had kids between us, but he is the best grandpoppa to my son's child and she also loves him.

Sometimes we get teased about the age thing too.

Love just happens. â™Â¥

He's 14 years younger than I am. We've been together 3 years now and I've never been happier with anyone. He'd never been married and had no kids; I was married once and have a daughter starting college.

As for security...haha, we're MTs not Microsoft executives. WHAT freaking security would they have if they were only with us for our wages and financial "stability"? I also sprayed coffee out of my nose laughing at THAT one.

I look great for my age but my husband looks 10 years younger than he really is. In today's society which is more accepting and tolerant, I think most people have learned not to ASSume the older woman is the younger man's mother.

I wouldn't trade my younger man, with whom I have so much in common and have been through so very much, for any man of my own age with kids everywhere, ex-wives out the wazoo, and an enormous amount of financial burden.

I'm one happy cougar who chose to let the prey win the hunt.

The right one is the right one; age is irrelevant.

I am 48. Met a 29 year old man at the gym (what a body!). He kept giving me these looks and smiles that were soooo sexy. We went for coffee and conversation, then... I have no regrets. It was what it was. I had no intention of dating and neither did he! We remain very friendly and occasionally get together. He's single, I'm single. No harm, no foul.

I'm 50, single. I frequently date younger men. Don't buy them anything. They approach me, not vice versa. I won't go younger than 35. Don't like to "get involved". I've got a good life and if someone wants to hang out with me, so be it! Key word: Consensual.

I agree, if the woman is well maintained and - 10 yrs

looks 10 years younger, that means WITHOUT any plastic enhancements, then it is o.k.

I would feel horrible to have sex with a man who could be, agewise, my son, disgusting.

My opinion:

I am 100% against cosmetic surgeries, except minimal botox applications, everything else equals "pulling the wool over a man's eyes."

Same applies to Viagra, etc...

Either it is natural, or no, thanks.....

End of discussion for me.

Well maintained????? Ha ha ha ha ahhhhaaaaaaa - I am ROFL

Maybe its cos it's late but I love your choice of words. Now I feel like an automobile. Too funny. Never heard that expression.

I think if that's what a man/boy wants and what the woman/girl wants then go for it. I think it depends on how they get along together. I'm 50. Although I could not see being with someone more than 20 years older than me (unless they were disgustingly wealthy LOL), I could see myself being with someone 20 years younger than me. I think it just all depends on the people. I just say...whatever floats your boat, just don't give me the intimate details....ewww

Ha ha ha ha ahhhhaaaaaaa - I am ROFLMAO ! - lol

You post:

"I'm 50. Although I could not see being with someone more than 20 years older than me (unless they were disgustingly wealthy LOL), I could see myself being with someone 20 years younger than me..."

What makes you think that somebody 20 years younger than you would like to have sex with you, (this would obviously be eeewww!) when you yourself would not have sex with somebody 20 years older than you?

Hahahahaha| ROTFLMAO !

There are well maintained women out there, but you are obviously NOT one of those since you are unfamiliar with this term as nobody gave you this compliment.

I hear it every day!
Wow...(this goes to ROFLMAO...lol) - sm

Thank you - that is exactly what I was thinking - I am the one she replied to (see msg)
[ In Reply To ..]
Yes I am 50 - or will be next month (same thing). Anyway...I almost put in my post that I doubt anyone who is 20 years younger would want to be with me. However, I have a wonderful husband who loves me very much, so feel no need to have a younger guy "want" me. That rude poster doesn't even know what I look like. I could be some "hot babe" for all she knows. Which by the way I am not. I am your average plane Jane. Nothing fancy and I don't even consider myself a pretty girl, but my husband tells me I am beautiful.

There really was no call for what she posted. Thank you for pointing out what she really is.

I have never heard the term "well maintained". I happened to think that was a great term, and so what if I had never heard it.

There is beauty on the outside and then beauty on the inside. I don't know what she looks like and I don't care, but one thing for certain is she is not a beautiful person on the inside.

Thank you for your post.
Well maintained... - chuckle
[ In Reply To ..]
Personally, I'd be highly offended if someone told me I were well maintained! It sounds like we're talking about a house or a car...well maintained geeze! I'm 40, so I'm far from old...but even when I'm 50 or 60, I hope no one tells me I'm "well maintained..." So for the person who hears it every day...take it for what it is, just like another poster said about a whistle...it isn't always a compliment :))
Probably the same 20 year olds that are having relations - with the 50+ year olds as the OP posted
[ In Reply To ..]
I am the one you responded to. Why did you feel you needed to respond in such a manner? Was it really necessary to be so nasty to someone who was not even answering you? So what, that I have never heard the term "well maintained". Are you the kind of person who would know what all the terms are. Now that would be a eeeewww.

So you think just because I have never heard the term "well maintained" that I am not in good shape or pretty. Do you know what I look like or how much I weigh? Do you know whether I work out at the gym or run in the parks or mountain bike or whatever I do to keep myself in shape? I don't know about you but nobody in my family has ever used "well maintained". We use the terms "in good shape" and "pretty".

So you just felt the need to post that someone would want to have sex with me is a "eeewww". Well I think my husband who loves me, tells me how beautiful I am, and I don't look over 35 years old has a different opinion. And a few months ago I went out to lunch with my brother and some guy whistled at me. Talk about an ego-lifter.

Your reply here? All I have to say is two words..... No class
One never knows why guys are whistling... - 10 yrs

it is not always out of admiration and meant as a compliment.

I myself regard this as extreme disrespect and low level.
"In good shape" and "pretty" - 10 yrs

are included in "well maintained."

In good shape: means still healthy and not obese.

Pretty: is just pretty.

Well maintained: includes all of the above.

It is all about semantics.
that attitude is going to age you fast - hope you enjoy 50

I think I owe you an apology.
I misunderstood your reply to my post - 10 yrs.

I thought you are ridiculing me for using the expression "well maintained," whereas you meant it in a good way and found it funny. I am sorry.

Please take all my replies to you also in a good way, sorry.
That's okay - thank you for apologizing - ROFL
[ In Reply To ..]
I wasn't ridiculing you, I actually did think that was a hoot as I had never heard someone being referred to as "well maintained". It was late last night and I sat here laughing about that. I asked my husband if he ever heard the term and he had not. He said he's heard "babe", "fox" and "hot", but not that. Guess we're just really not into it and don't watch much TV to hear that.

Anyway...no hard feelings. My husband thinks I'm beautiful even if I don't, and that's all that matters to me.

Thanks again for your reply. I do appreciate it.
I bet you are and have a good sense of humor, too! - 10 yrs

Just wondering about these rules you have, why Botox made it on the "okay" list. That's definitely cosmetic.

Also, I imagine that Viagra has helped quite a few men with medical problems, yet it is on your list of not allowed. Why?

to a hormone- or strong vitamin-cream.

But it's only good to use on the forehead and against those frownlines between the eyes.

It paralyzes the muscles, for a while, so it is not a good idea to use it on the lower face, this would render the face masklike and wipe out any cute smile.

P.S. Don't need it yet.

Viagra, and all the others, too, can be very dangerous - see mess

I just have a question.  I just turned 38 years old.  In the past, with my menstrual cycle, I never had "PMS" symptoms, never had cramps or cravings or "attitude" or anything.  I have noticed within the past year that I have become INCREDIBLY cranky just before my menstrual cycle.  I have noted that within the past few months, it is BEYOND cranky.  Sometimes, I am just so aggravated that I seriously feel like I have so much built in anger that I want to punch a wall! &nb ...
