Know of good Internet/TV deals?

Posted: Feb 13, 2012

Anyone know of any great Internet and TV packages?  I pay about $70 now for Internet and basic cable.  The basic is not so great, but I really can't afford more than that.

Does anyone know of better deals on the same type of thing or better within the same amount?

I have cable now and think if I switch to DSL I would also have to get a different modem and router on top of any hook-up fees.

Any ideas?

Just One Of Trump's Shady DealsMar 07, 2017
Deals like this are probably just part of the reason that DT doesn't want his tax information released.  I'd be willing to bet there are more where this came from. Hoping that fine professional journalists  (or enemies of the people depending on your point of view) keep up the good work and expose this con man who has been elected by gullible voters.  Also hoping that some patriot in the IRS leaks the information we all need to see. ...

Clinton Foundation Donors Got Weapons DealsMay 26, 2015
Even by the standards of arms deals between the United States and Saudi Arabia, this one was enormous. A consortium of American defense contractors led by Boeing would deliver $29 billion worth of advanced fighter jets to the United States' oil-rich ally in the Middle East. Under Clinton's leadership, the State Department approved $165 billion worth of commercial arms sales to 20 nations whose governments have given money to the Clinton Foundation, according to an IBTimes analysis ...

AL Deals With Rash Of Shootings Since Fri Injuring/killing 3 Kids,Dec 16, 2012
Since court cases are often won by arguing preponderance of the evidence, it may prove useful to draw attention to these everyday situations each time they happen, as was suggested in an earlier post. Alabama is one of those states that does NOT have an "opt-out" gun law in place for such institutions as businesses, schools, hospitals and other public gatherings who wish to circumvent existing lax concealed carry law by declaring a "gun-free zone" policy and posting a sign.  In most states ...

Bringing Up Thread About Internet From Down BelowMar 24, 2014
Pretty busy thread down there and I didn't want this info to go to waste. Question About Internet Service ProvidersJul 09, 2016
Last night I was watching TV when I discovered that my half my channels no longer worked.  I have bundled service (internet, land-line phone, and cable TV), so I called my ISP, and they told me that they have a "new and improved" system now (sounds like Nuance, huh?) and I would now have to rent a box for each TV in my house in order to restore my fave channels. Um, no thanks. I'm not under contract, so I'm going to cancel my service and find alternatives.  BTW, I've le ...

When it is far too late for anyone to do anything about it, history will someday record that Barack Hussein Obama hijacked public access to the Internet before leaving office. Internet Tip - Kitchen Timer Works WondersMar 08, 2014
If you feel too much of your time gets sucked up by the Internet - use a kitchen timer, set it for however long you want to be on the Internet per day, and stick to it. Trans-Pacific Partnership Deal Biggest Threat To InternetOct 06, 2015

Its claimed purpose is to create a unified economic bloc so that companies and businesses can trade more easily — but it also puts many of the central principles of th ...

FCC Commissioner On Internet Oversight Switch. "If You Cherish FreeSep 28, 2016
This is irreversible." On Wednesday’s “Sean Hannity Show,” FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai (R) stated that the plan to “essentially give up the US oversight role…of the Internet” to ICANN is something that should worry anyone who cherishes “free expression, and free speech rights generally,” and could potentially cede oversight of the Internet to “foreign governments who might not share our values.” He further stated that such a move is “irreversible.” Pai said, “This ...
