Does anyone have an internet-ready TV or google TV?

My old dinosaur TV died. We always hooked up the computer to the TV to watch movies and TV shows from free online sites. My question is....on the new internet-ready TVs and the Google TVs can you go to any website and watch free movies and shows OR do you have to subscribe to netflix or some other company to watch anything?

Have been using it to watch Netflix, but it has plenty of other content such as Hulu, Youtube and music as well. How did I live without this??!! It is very small and only cost 78 bucks.

Eventually though I would like a Google TV, but I think the smallest one runs about $800. I think you would have to subscribe to Netflix to get movies through it.

Samsung and Vizio have reasonable priced TVs with internet programming. The three must-have services are Hulu Plus, Netflix, and Amazon on Demand. If you have an inexpensive HD antenna and are within 30-50 miles from the TV towers, you can easily forget about Cable TV or Satellite services. Hulu Plus is $7.99 monthly, Netflix is 7.99 monthly, and Amazon is free with an Amazon Prime account which costs just under $100 a year.

We get our local stations via antenna, and subscribe to Hulu Plus and Netflix. $16 a month is a lot better than the $89 a month we were paying for satellite. But remember, you have to have decent internet access for Hulu, Netflix or Amazon to work.

We got our big screen before "internet ready". We have add-on Blu-ray that gets Netflix, Pandora, Hulu. We use anttenna for local, and then we have an old PC hooked up for on-line streaming and downloading videos. Saves us a lot of money.

We use Play Station 3 for internet - with our big-screen TV.

Works great so far. We plan on doing ITunes, Hulu, and Netflix streaming also.

Well, nothing is working on my feet, ankles and legs. They are kind of down in the morning and whether or not I put my compression hose on or not, they balloon up in about 2-3 minutes. I finally got put on Lasix 20 mg for a month and then have to call him again. I don't think it is enough to get my legs down. I can't pee much and still have diarrhea. Anyone know of any great Internet and TV packages? I pay about $70 now for Internet and basic cable. The basic is not so great, but I really can't afford more than that. Does anyone know of better deals on the same type of thing or better within the same amount? I have cable now and think if I switch to DSL I would also have to get a different modem and router on top of any hook-up fees. Any ideas? ...
