I'm watching old episodes of Grey's Anatomy, and (sm)

I can't quite figure something out. I know about what happened with Izzy and Denny. At least I know she stole a heart for him, but I don't know how. But my question is, when he was "with" her and she kept telling him to go away, and he kept saying, "I'm here FOR you." did he mean that she is sick and is going to die? Is that why she gave herself a bunch of tests?

Izzy "stole" the heart for Denny by arranging for a donor heart to go to Denny instead of another patient (higher on the transplant list) by making Denny suddenly extremely ill (cutting his LVAD wire & causing his condition to go terminal). He died anyway. Later, in Izzy's hallucinations, Denny was "here for" Izzy because she was going to die. It took her a long time to get his message. When she did comprehend his meaning, she ran tests & used this as a teaching tool for her interns, having them evaluate everything & come up with a diagnosis. It was pretty bad. Lots of drama.

Oh, thank you. I am so enjoying this show. Can't believe - It's been on so long and I never saw it.

I used to watch it all the time & will sometimes watch the older episodes. It's always had drama, but at some point, the show seemed to be more about drama story & less about medical story. When most of the hour was spent watching whoever sleep/play with whoever else, I lost interest. Sometimes I'll still watch but not all the time.

I've just been mesmerized whatching this miracle unfold 24/7. My heart was pounding as #1 cave entrapment survivor was lifted to the surface. Up to #5 and so far everything going as planned. Pagliano never showed up even though he was supoenaed. Mr. Combetta (Platte River) and Mr. Thornton (Platte River), and a third guy showed up.
