Anatomy of a Democrat party mid-term freakout (sm)

Posted: Mar 17, 2014

Of course, even if Republicans take over the Senate and hold the House, o still has his little poison pen.  I just hope (no, I pray) that the country is left standing by the time his reign is over.

burst your bubble, but it really doesn't matter who is in office. This country has been falling for a long time. It will continue to fall until big business is removed from office. I find it rather sad that there are still people that think party matters. Our government is not run by the politicians, it is run by big business. It doesn't matter if the republicans hold the house, senate and president's office; it doesn't matter if the democrats hold it all. We are doomed until big business is removed from office.

You're right to a point. It's been failing for awhile, - but Obama kicked it over the crater.

go right ahead and believe that if you want, but I'm exactly right and not to a point. He did not kick it over the crater, it has been going over the crater for a long time. You should take your blinders off. Instead of criticizing Obama and thinking that the pubs are going to do any better, you should be figuring out a way that we can get all of them out of the pockets of corporations and run this country for all of us.
What's your solution? - nm

have a solution. "I" cannot fix this country. It is the way it is because people turned on each other and were more worried about which party was in office and criticizing if theirs wasn't instead of demanding that ALL politicians look out for us instead of looking out for big business. If I could afford it, I would move out of this country because it is going down fast. That's what happens when greedy people run a country instead of politicians that care about a nation as a whole. It's just going to continue as is until it falls apart. Pubs are going to criticize dems and dems are going to criticize pubs and the separation of our nation will continue. I would start learning maybe Chinese because they pretty much own us now anyway and would probably be the most likely to take us over. Hey, the Russians are feeling pretty bossy right now, maybe they'll take us over too. It really doesn't matter because the US is on its way out because we can't get together as a nation.

I think they should severely limit campaign spending and contributions. I'd like to see money taken out of the equation entirely.

these corporations that OWN the politicians want. By stepping into line and following party leaders, people aren't REALLY being "loyal to America", even though they THINK they are. They're just following Big Oil, Big Pharma, Big Tobacco and Wall Street, and supporting their stranglehold on the country.
Trust me when I tell you that even thoug - I agree with you
[ In Reply To ..]
The corporations were given extreme power in the late 1800s (by Congress) and have been growing in size and power ever since. I am not sure if we can ever get politicians to do their job (though to be fair many do try) because TOO OFTEN corporations BUY politicians to put on a good show in DC while being certain to represent the corporation (or other entity) who paid their way.

AN EDUCATED CITIZENRY, who is not afraid to speak out and organize is their biggest fear. Start there :)

No, that was Bush. But it doesn't matter anymore, - anyway. Corporations are out of control.

Of course, it was Bush. - It always is Bush's fault.
[ In Reply To ..]
It will always be Bush's fault until the end of time.

Do you know how ridiculous this line has become?

I was going to say exactly what you said. I no - longer care which party is in -

[ In Reply To ..]
office anymore, because
a - they're all alike anyway: Politicians.
b - They're simply figureheads; as stated above, corporations run the country now. (Funny - I predicted corporations would run the US back in the 1970's, and my mother told me that was "silly". Not so "silly" any more, is it?
c - No steps will likely be taken to save our middle class, and when that goes entirely, there goes the country's ability to fund its infrastructure. Again, that no longer has anything to do with who is "President". We can thank the banks, the stock market, Walmart, McDonald's, Nabisco, Reynolds, Phillip Morris, etc. The list is endless.
d - regardless of who is "President", if the core of our country - its middle and lower class citizens, are reduced to a 3rd world standard of living, the US will be ripe for the the picking by some other country, and considering we tend to go to war with almost anyone that has a pulse, I doubt there will be any countries that will want to come to our aid.

We need to stop worrying about political parties, and all the bickering that goes on between them, and start taking on the companies and financial systems that are running everything in the US into the ground.

Entire Democrat Party In DisarrayNov 11, 2016
It isn't only the Presidency, House and Senate the Democrats lost, they also lost at the state and local levels across the board. I guess a lot of them did "wake up" as suggested many times by those in the know. I think this bodes well for the country moving forward. I am going to continue to NOT read the negative posts by the usual suspects as they continue to offer nothing but divisiveness and vitriol, the traits the majority of Americans are tired of seeing over the last eight years. ...

Leaked DHS Document Is Another Democrat Party Mar 29, 2017
At Breitbart.com, Michael Patrick Leahy has what strikes me as an explosive story: “Mystery Surrounds Leaked Leaked Draft DHS Document at Center of Controversial Travel Ban Decisions by Two Federal Judges.” Actually, though, it doesn’t seem to be much of a mystery. On February 24, AP reporters Vivian Salama and Alicia Caldwell published an AP “exclusive”: “DHS report disputes threat from banned nations.” The story was based on an anonymous draft Department of Homeland Services d ...

Seething Liberals Vow Revolution In The Democrat Party.Nov 12, 2016
Instead, a ferocious struggle has erupted on the left over the smoldering remains of the Democratic Party. Liberals are seething over the election and talking about launching a Tea Party-style revolt. They say it’s the only way to keep Washington Democrats connected to the grassroots and to avoid a repeat of the 2016 electoral disaster, which blindsided party elites. Progressives believe the Democratic establishment is responsible for inflicting Donald Trump upon the nation, blaming a ...

The Yasser Arafat Of Democrat Party; How Chuck SchumerMar 31, 2017
The late terrorist Yasser Arafat (1929-2004) was famous for saying one thing to American media and the opposite to Palestinian audiences. To U.S. presidents and chief diplomatic correspondents he would profess his desire for peace and for a two-state solution, while to Arabs and Muslims he would impugn Jews, hint at Israel's abolition, and incite and pay for anti-Semitic violence. His problem was that, like most liars, he was eventually found out. President George W. Bush saw through Arafat ...

We're finding out so much now about how the left really thinks, although long suspected. Meanwhile, Trump continues to draw crowds 3 and 4 times the size of Hillary's. 8,000 today ...

Anatomy Of A Landslide Sep 06, 2012
In just three short minutes, Democrats handed the 2012 election to Republican Mitt Romney. In a surreal floor vote at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., at 5:04 p.m., long before prime-time viewers flipped on their TVs, delegates split — hard — on whether to include a simple mention of God in their platform, and to declare that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. "Awkward," "embarrassing," "stupid," "unforced error," said Democrat Paul Begala. That doesn&# ...

Perhaps A Lesson In Anatomy?Feb 24, 2015
Idaho Rep. Vito Barbieri (R) asked what we MTs would generally consider to be a pretty funny question, but it made me wonder whether there are many men who really don't know how female anatomy works. He asked whether a woman could swallow a tiny camera that could be used for a female exam. Now, he did state later on that he meant the question to be rhetorical. I'm just wondering if he could have first stated beforehand, now, I know about female anatomy and that it is not connected to G ...
