I'm freaking out! Anyone from Texas? My son is stationed at Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo, TX,

in the Army Intelligence Division. I just saw on CNN about the 9 soliders killed and 20 others injured and 1 crazy gunman still on the loose. The website for Ft. Hood has been shut down for obvious reasons. Does anyone know how close Ft. Hood is to Goodfellow AFB? I called him on his cell phone, but I got no response and left him a message. I'm worried sick. I'm pretty sure they have everyone on lock down with all this mess.

[ In Reply To ..]Goodfellow is in San Angelo, TX which is probably a couple of hundred miles west of Ft. Hood. So, it isn't too close. You will probably hear more on CNN/national news than you will trying to get through to the Air Base. Good luck, my prayers are w/you.
