Hurricane Bonnie/American Red Cross

Posted: Jul 23, 2010

Rain, wind gusts and it is very dark.  I live in S. Florida and the weatherman says we won't get hit directly but we are certainly getting the outerbands of it.

I happen to be a member of the American Red Cross and we had a meeting last night.  They said it will be a BAD season.

I hope everyone who lives in the hurricane zone has all their preparations intact.  Water, batteries, medications, canned goods.

Who Is Politicizing The Hurricane?Oct 29, 2012
From the Washington Examiner 10/29/12: On the campaign trail in Waterbury Connecticut yesterday, former President Bill Clinton used the threat of Hurricane Sandy to warn voters of the importance of the election next week. “We’re coming down to the 11th hour. We’re facing a violent storm,” Clinton said according to the Connecticut Mirror. “It’s nothing compared to the storm we’ll face if you don’t make the right decision in this election.” ...

Prayers to all who are or will be affected by this storm, and stay safe.  I saw an email from the boss, and she wanted to be notified if you will be affected, did say good thoughts or prayers for you, just worried about the job, and it burned me, so I am asking for prayers for all of you.  Those of not affected by it will be keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.  ...

DC Hurricane And Earthquake Message From God Aug 29, 2011
While talking about government spending to a Florida audience this past weekend, MB unleashed yet another inside track insight she gleaned from her direct red phone connection between herself and God Almighty.  "Washington, D.C., you’d think by now they’d get the message. An earthquake, a hurricane, are you listening? The American people have done everything they possibly can. Now it’s time for an act of God and we’re getting it.”  We are to take gr ...

How Much More Can We Hear About This Hurricane Named Irene?Aug 27, 2011
I am sure everyone has or is preparing. A question I have is right before all heck breaks loose should I shut off the computer along with the router or should I just shut down the computer. I do have a powerstrip with my electronics plugged in. I will have my ipod all charged up in case I need to listen to my songs or play games on it. What else you can do to minimize damage? ...

Who's Politicizing Hurricane Sandy? This Article Is Very Clear.Oct 30, 2012
Former President Bill Clinton took a swipe Tuesday at Mitt Romney's position on climate change in the aftermath of the landfall of Hurricane Sandy, saying that President Obama's policies were better for the environment. "In the real world, Barack Obama’s policies work better," Clinton said at a campaign rally in Minnesota. Clinton said that Romney mocked Obama's position on climate change during the first presidential debate, although the topic didn't come up. "He ri ...

Liberal Writer Thinks Hurricane Is Racist.Oct 08, 2016
Death in Haiti from a hurricane is "environmental racism." Some people are so stupid that they don’t know they are stupid. People that believe weather is racist fall into that category. Atheist Group Wants To Stop World Trade Center CrossAug 08, 2011
Trying to use the World Trade Center as if it were a christian tragedy rather than a human tragedy is wrong. Not only did Christians die that day, but so did a lot of Jews, Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists and yes, Atheists and Agnostics. No one group has a monopoly on the site, nor on the suffering and pain the event caused. You would think a religion founded on brotherhood, tolerance and inclusion would try to understand that- but once again, American Christians have forgotten Christs message, and ar ...

Supreme Court Overturns Objection To Cross On Public LandApr 29, 2010
By Robert Barnes Washington Post Staff Writer Thursday, April 29, 2010  A splintered Supreme Court displayed its deep divisions over the separation of church and state Wednesday, with the court's prevailing conservatives signaling a broader openness to the idea that the Constitution does not require the removal of religious symbols from public land. A 5 to 4 decision by the court overturns a federal judge's objection to a white cross erected more than 75 years ago on a ...

"No Fair Wage For American Workers." Most American JobsDec 12, 2012
the people who hold them are getting wage cuts instead of increases. We're ALL in trouble. From the Washington Post: "The stagnation of wages has become an accepted fact across the political spectrum; conservative columnists such as Michael Gerson and David Brooks have acknowledged that workers’ incomes seem to be stuck." "Defenders of right-to-work laws argue that they improve a state’s economy by creating more jobs. But an exhaustive study by economist Lo ...
